Amal Clooney in Giambattista Valli at the Roman ‘Catch-22′ premiere: cute or nah?

George Clooney and Amal Clooney attend the premiere of 'Catch-22'

George and Amal Clooney have been in Italy for days now. I guess we’re supposed to believe that George is really promoting the hell out of his Hulu miniseries Catch 22, but I think he just loves being in Italy and he looks for excuses to be in Rome or Como or Venice. Over the weekend, George and Amal were spotted at what was called a “premiere” for Catch-22, but was probably more like a dinner or a party for the series. Amal wore a really odd Prabal Gurung ensemble. But last night was the real premiere, and here are some photos.

Amal wore a Giambattista Valli outfit for the full-on Roman premiere at the Space Cinema Moderno. Giambattista Valli is one of her favorite design houses, and she’s worn Valli looks for years, for date nights and premieres and even for her “wedding week” in Venice. She loves those weird little cocktail dresses and twirly skirts and mullet dresses. This look was rather mundane compared to her previous looks – a beaded skirt and a sparkly, sequined green crop-top. I actually love the cropped blouse, and I wish the entire ensemble had been that green material, it would have looked amazing. Yeah, I think the skirt is ruining this. (Her heels are great though.)

George has been giving tons of interviews to promote Catch-22, and he did The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast. He told a story about how he spoke to Ben Affleck before Affleck signed on to play The Batfleck and George advised him not to do it. Ben didn’t listen to him.

I can’t believe that woman gave birth to twins, she looks amazing

    • AryasMum says:

She looks great, but it’s been almost two years since the twins were born. She seems naturally thin.

Total Pillow pregnancy. Did u see her on 6 inch heels in the late months of her pregnancy with zero bloat or weight gain? 40 year old woman carrying twins looking perfect except for a smallish belly. Google photos. U will see what I am talking about.

Baria should write a book on how to raise a daughter. She instilled in Amal the highest-level-of-self-esteem-possible. She drilled into Amal’s head that she is gorgeous, that ALL men want her, she’s a special snowflake that is invincible. [I knew Amal in NYC, we ran in the same circles and I know for a fact that her parents praised and doted on her.] It all shows, look at her preening for cameras and her walk at the royal wedding – it was cringe-worthy!

Amal is a regular, average-looking woman but moves through the world like a VS supermodel. Like many, without the makeup, surgical procedures, veneers and $$$ wardrobe she’d be checking out photos of George’s wife at the check out counter at her local Boots, instead of being his wife.

Look at her photos before George, she had tall and thin going for her to make her striking and noticeable BUT she had men pursuing her from Oxford like mad dogs because of her LEVEL OF DELUSIONAL CONFIDENCE!

Amal’s confidence level is out of this world, straight out of a science fiction novel, she doesn’t see what people sees, she only sees stunning absolutely magical unicorn beauty reflected back at her. That is the only way she was able to draw the notorious bachelor in with her utter-without-boundaries confidence. Plus he likes masculine women and liked the cache she brought with her. Amal moved in his circles and like to show off about Eric Schmidt, President Clinton [yes, President Clinton - if Amal or her people are reading this they know it's true] and all the men who wanted her. George was just wasn’t anyone special, which made George think she was SPECIAL! Trust, this girl thought every man wanted her! Celebrity, rich, homeless, trust fund — every living, breathing man!

Wow. If one could bottle up that and call it DELUSION and sell it at every Sephora, we’d be RICH!

This is Amal as she truly is. This is what a man would wake up to. It’s all confidence! She is smart, charming and has kkryptonite-level of confidence.

Thanks for insider info. They’d have done better to instill both humility and confidence. This woman is out of this world in terms of her ego. What goes up must come down and she’s the butt of jokes on the celeb blogs; her rabid fans (other than those casually noting this or that outfit is decent) are in the minority and many sound suspiciously like familiy members. Materialistic, thirsty, love the celebrity live, narcissistic, etc.

And how can anyone who’s done a bit of research think Clooney’s a catch unless you’re into status and wealth alone? He has strict, Catholic parents and I do think he is very liberal sexually and hid that. There are too many convincing commentors all over the net with firsthand knowledge about his activities, IMO.

Bill Clinton was rumoured to shag everything that moved and Eric Schmidt is no catch (divorced, kids, not attractive). I’d be “impressed” by her “male-attracting powers” if she’d bagged a biz titan close to her age who’d otherwise have gone for supermodel types (Miranda Kerr’s husband, etc). George is her perfect match because they’re both equally thirsty, and whether she knows it or not, my opinion is she’s effectively a beard as well as the leading actress who was cast for a narcissistic actor’s eventually run for the WH.

And @Tastie, can you confirm she DOES have implants, correct?

I don’t care for the skirt. It seems too short and she doesn’t seem at ease in it.

  3. Some chick says:

Yes, she wears weird outfits. Yes, she wants to look cute. Don’t we all?

George always looks to me like his back hurts.

But, real talk: can we PLEASE stop referring to asymmetrical hems as “mullets.” Mullets are gross; asymmetrical hems can be graceful and gorgeous.

And they look so much better than overly long garments that puddle on the floor!

It’s not that hard to spell “asymmetrical!” Enough with the “mullet” thing. Mullets are for heshers.

  4. FHMom says:

For once, George looks great and Amal does not. It’s usually the opposite.

  5. joanne says:

Amal has fabulous hair. Her hair always look great. I’m adjusting to her fashion sense. I find she look so much better in live motion than she does in still photos. i think she’s gorgeous.

  6. KatMatz says:

She looks a little ‘Rex to me. Her legs in particular.
