Women’s fashion sales & deals to upgrade your go-to pieces

One of the requests we received on Twitter was to feature clothing in our affiliate post, as Amazon’s clothing section can be hard to sort through. These are some of the best, most affordable pieces which have high reviews. Plus a couple I own! There are so many user photos of the clothing too, so please check the reviews if you’d like to see more.

A cozy turtleneck tunic that will be your go-top top
amazon_turtlenecktunic
This is the #1 best seller in women’s tunics and you can see why. It’s flattering, versatile and can be easily dressed up or down. It’s very affordable at less than $22 and comes in six different colors. I have a grey turtleneck sweatshirt that’s very similar to this and would definitely wear this one. Reviewers say “I’m obsessed with the shirt. This is the third that I’ve gotten,” that it’s “the coziest shirt I’ve ever owned” and “the first thing I want to grab when I go to my closet.” They also say it’s true to size.

A comfortable faux wrap dress that goes from day to night
amazon_fauxwrapdress
I own a lot of jersey and wrap dresses. They’re my first choice as you can look polished with the least amount of effort. As The Fug Girls write, you put on a dress and that’s your whole outfit sorted. This dress comes in 16 different colors and patterns and has a very high rating. It looks great on all figures, women write that it’s “super comfortable and flattering” and that the gathered fabric helps hide problem areas.

A super cute denim jacket at a crazy price
amazon_denimjacket
Denim jackets go well with just about any outfit, including dresses and skirts, and are always in fashion. This one is under $30 and it comes in red, white, dark and light wash colors. Owners write that it’s a “nice soft denim,” “very comfortable” and that the sizing is “spot on.”

Ultra affordable workout leggings you’ll want to wear all day
amazon_workoutpants
I get mildly enraged at the price of some workout gear. Some people can afford workout pants for $80 and up, but that’s not me. These 90 degree leggings are just $17 and that doesn’t seem to come at the cost of quality. Reviewers say they are true to size, which is rare for athletic gear, “fit perfectly,” “are not see through” and “feel so soft.” They come in 24 different colors and patterns too.

Socks to keep your legs warm and stylish
amazon_socks
If you don’t have any thigh high socks, consider how awesome they are. I have these two sets of socks! I bought them when WhoWhatWear was saying that socks with skirts were in. I didn’t have the nerve to wear them like that, I end up buying weird pieces when I read WWW, but both of these are a great buy and I wear them all the time. The knee high set has two pairs, I have them in black and black and white stripe, and the thigh high set comes with three pairs, which I have in black, gray and white. Sometimes I wear them around the house with shorts.

A striped bodycon dress that will get you compliments
amazon_stripedress
I own this flattering stripe dress in green! It is somewhat revealing but it emphasizes the right areas. I have a pair of green and white striped wedges that are arguably too matchy but I think they go with this perfectly. It comes in 19 other colors, with a lot of women opting for the black and white version. The reviewer pictures show how great this dress looks on all sizes. Women say “I didn’t think a dress that cost this little would be so cute!” and that “I work in a professional environment and received compliments [on it] all day.”

I own 2 pairs of 90 Degree leggings and they’re perfect for working out or running errands! They’re not so constricting as to be uncomfortable, and the material is a nice thickness. I prefer them over almost all of my other ones.

I co-sign! 90 Degree leggings are the best and I have several pairs. They’re comfortable and flattering. I wear them to walk, jog, and Body Pump. They’re also great for lounging around too.

    • Esmom says:

Good to hear. I also refuse to pay a ton for leggings. I’ve been really happy with Old Navy’s active wear, especially their pants, but lately their choices have really been lacking.

Thickness is my main concern these days. I just bought two pairs of Nike leggings super cheap at their outlet (original price $65) and I was dismayed to see they do not smooth out the lumps and rough edges at all.

      • launicaangelina says:

@esmom They do smooth out the silhouette and I highly recommend them.

      • Esmom says:

Thank you! I just ordered a pair. Was happy to see they come in capri style, which I prefer. My legs get too hot working out in full length pants. :)

    • Meowuirose says:

Just ordered the stripped dress in green! I’m loving these posts. Even if I dont order anything I’m enjoying seeing what’s recomended and what ppl say in the comments. Keep em coming plz :)

    • Nicole(the Cdn one) says:

Co-sign 90 degree leggings – I first picked them up at Winners and was amazed at the quality for the price point. They are fabulous!

    • Mumzy says:

They are great leggings and can always be found at my T.J. Maxx for a steal!

  2. Zabar says:

I am loving these recommendation posts! I have that wrap dress in too many colors & I always get compliments. It’s comfortable & flattering. Def recommend.

  3. Megs says:

I love these posts, keep them coming! Although I am supposed to be saving money…

    • LadyMTL says:

Hahaha, me too! One of my resolutions was “less frivoulous spending” because I’m saving up for a big trip I want to take in the fall, but with these posts, it’s tough. I want that tunic sweatshirt so bad!

      • Megs says:

I’m terrible but I’m going to tell you yo treat yourself!;) I mean, you’ll wear it all the time so it pays for itself (this is what I tell myself too often)

      • Celebitchy says:

I tried to make all the clothing less than $30 as I know that can be an issue. If you want to save money on clothing and you don’t mind sifting through stuff, try thrifting. I love going to Goodwill and thrift shops but I also supplement with affordable pieces like these, especially for activewear which is harder to find. (Although activewear shirts are plentiful at my local Goodwill.)

      • Jess says:

Yes thrift stores can be a great source if you can dig through the racks! One of my secrets is goodwill, they have a donation contract with Target so you can find brand new Target items at most Goodwills for 2 bucks or less, jeans, shirts, dresses, etc. I love to shop thrift stores since I’m so cheap.

      • LadyMTL says:

@Megs I really am debating it, I haven’t gotten myself new clothes in such a long time! I work from home a lot, so rarely need to get new stuff…though in Canadian $ it comes to just under $30, which still isn’t all that bad. (I couldn’t find it on the Canadian Amazon site…)

@CB and Jess I wish I had Goodwill stores near me, there isn’t even a Salvation Army store any more. All I have nearby is a shopping center, sigh.

Anyway! All this to say that I haven’t caved yet, but I probably will hahaha. Treat myself indeed. :)

      • Enn says:

I’m a big fan of eBay too! No shame in my pre-owned game.

    • Liz version 700 says:

I also love these recommendation posts. The eye shadow recommended in the first post is now the only eyeshadow I use.

  4. Lane's Mom says:

I like these posts, too–thanks for the recommendations!

  5. OriginalLala says:

that amazing wrap dress on Canadian Amazon is like $120 for some reason :(

    • Celebitchy says:

That sucks it’s around $25 on US Amazon

      • OriginalLala says:

aww man, i would totally buy that dress for 25$!!

      • Liz version 700 says:

They may be restocking. I looked up something one time that I normally pay $8 and it was $64. The next week it was $10. They should just say out of stock seriously.

    • Mumzy says:

A tip — I live in the US but have a UK based amazon account thanks to my trusty VPN with plenty of UK-based servers to route through. (I use Nord VPN but there are many others that are legit.) You are able to make international purchases that way as long as the site ships to your home country!

  6. Kathryn says:

Love these kinds of posts! Uniqlo has become my “go to”. Affordable, quality is usually good, architecturally correct (I work in design)

  7. Esmom says:

I love these posts, too. Thanks!

  8. Jess says:

I love this post! I started shopping for more clothes on amazon this last year and I’ve been pretty impressed. In my town there aren’t a lot of options for women who don’t want to dress “Southern”, and I hate paying ridiculous shipping prices so I said screw it, I have amazon prime so I’ll just try it. I’ve found lots of decent off the shoulder tops and sweatshirts, shoes, and swim suit cover ups!

  9. ariel says:

I just linked to amazon (or smile.amazon- supporting the spca) and bought the faux wrap dress.
If I like it in black, I will buy it in a few more colors.

    Thanks!

  10. Shelby says:

Could we have another post like this that includes more plus size options pretty please?

  11. Bella Bella says:

I love these recommendations and would just like to put this thought out there: I’d love to see recommendations for dresses for bigger/rounder women. That wrap dress is pretty, but you still need to have a pretty tight bum to make it look good from the back. If a person is big in the hips or a little jiggly in the backside, to me it looks like there will be no hiding it in the back of that dress.
