The Girther Movement is born: Trump surely weighs more than 239 lbs, right?

BGUS_1085281_002 (1)

Donald Trump took his required annual physical by the White House doctor last week, and on Tuesday, the doctor briefed the press about the Sh-thole In Chief’s health. To call all of this fake news would be a disservice to Sh-thole Mussolini’s now-forgotten but much-hyped Fake News Awards. There were several dumb and funny pieces of news, like the fact that we now know Donald Trump takes Propecia for his hair loss, but it’s worth noting that Dr. Ronny Jackson claims Trump is in “excellent health” and that Trump received a “perfect score” on the cognitive exam Trump requested. But the real news was that Trump only weighs 239 pounds?? No. No.

Despite what he said were concerns about Trump’s weight, diet and exercise levels, Dr. Jackson declared the President in “excellent” health, which he predicted would hold up for the remainder of his term. Trump weighs 239 pounds, Jackson said, and stands at 6 feet 3 inches. That places him just below the “obese” range on the body mass index.

Jackson said that during the exam he and Trump discussed his diet, setting a goal of losing 10-15 pounds. The gym facilities in the White House residence will be renovated to Trump’s specifications, Jackson said, and first lady Melania Trump will be enlisted to help him stick to the new regimen. A nutritionist has been brought into the White House kitchens to consult with the chefs there on ways to limit Trump’s intake of calories, including by cutting fats and carbohydrates. And Jackson has upped Trump’s dosage of Crestor, a cholesterol-lowering statin.

[From CNN]

The “239 pounds” number has created a new thing which Chris Hayes has dubbed The Girther Movement. There are now Girth Truthers (GIRTHERS) who know in their hearts that Donald Trump’s fat orange ass weighs a hell of a lot more than 239 pounds. Which led me to wonder… what if Trump is not fat, he’s just fluffy? Of course I also think Trump is taller than 6’3”? He seems larger than that in every way (except for hand size, obviously). He’s a tall guy and people who meet him in person always talk about how unexpectedly big he is, big as in tall and big as in… President Thicc.

If he’s got the doctor lying about his weight then he is definitely lying about the “perfect score” on the cognitive test

    • JenB says:

But it seemed like the cognitive test was extremely basic-like “identify the animal” basic. Congratulations DJT-you’ve been accepted into kindergarten!

      • Odetta says:

If that’s the case I’m still surprised he passed.

      • swak says:

@Odetta – he asked for the cognitive test. Which could me they prepared him for it. I’m sure it’s not hard to get a hold of and practice or at least know what the questions would be.

      • Esmom says:

Yeah, the cognitive test was shockingly basic. I don’t know what to think, even about the weight thing after comparing to tons of people with the same height and weight stats. I got caught up in a Twitter wormhole about all this last night. So many people are saying the doc is lying, has been ordered by Trump to “fake” the exam results. But he also did Obama’s physicals and former staffers speak highly of him.

      • Imqrious2 says:

Listen, they lied about Regan’s Alzheimer’s for FOUR YEARS, while the cabinet and Nancy ran the show. You don’t thing the Repub-thugs wouldn’t do it for this Shitstain to keep power?? While Pence may also be a Repub-thug, hens not as malleable or willing to sign ANYTHING as the Orange Menace.

      • Tiffany :) says:

In the interest of avoiding an all out panic, I don’t think they would disclose anything majorly bad with any sitting president. This whole event seems more like a public reassurance to the entire world rather than a presentation of fact. I can understand that reasoning, though. Anything else would be risky.

      • trumptrickle says:

Was part of the test a toddler’s See and Say?

“What does the cow say, Donnie?”
“MOOOOOOOOOOOO Big Mac, bet you can’t finish eight during Fox and Friends”
“What does the chicken say, Donnie?”
“BAWK BAWK I want to be deep fried and eaten in a messy bed”
“What does the mobster say, Donnie?”
“500K more in cash today or we release Stormy Daniels tape! ERR! I mean…”

      • FLORC says:

It’s public reassurances. And they have the real info.
He’s obese. He gets winded walking to his golf cart. He rants constantly on Twitter. Watches tons of fox and friends more than works. Has a terrible diet that is known and admitted. Trump is your racist grandfather that drifts off in conversations to say highly offensive things having nothing to do with a point to be made.

    • Tanguerita says:

as far as i am concerned it’s a good thing he passed – once Mueller is done with the Orange Abomination and he is led away in cuffs from the White House lawn, no one can scream “mentally incompetent” and “reduced sentence”.

      • Lindy79 says:

        Fair point!

      • Elkie says:

That was my thought too – Trump has been declared “fit to stand trial”.

Plus, no-one has to feel bad that they’re potentially mocking someone suffering from a cognitive impairment. Trump is just dumb, dumb, dumb.

      • Miss Jupitero says:

These were my thoughts. May that day come soon

      • Tiffany :) says:

Consequences, oh how I long for consequences.

      • magnoliarose says:

I can deal with this line of thinking. I like it. Thanks. So when he does something clearly in the throes of a cognitive meltdown he can’t complain about his competence.
You need to be on the Mueller team. Like now! lol

    • Onerous says:

Here’s a link to that “test” – it’s literally one page of assessment that takes 10 minutes.

I’ve seen many people commenting that their family members with dementia also “aced” this test because it doesn’t really measure or assess the type of memory lapse many people present with. Many with mental decline can remember things from a few seconds ago, but can’t remember who they saw yesterday, for example.

      • Rapunzel says:

It also doesn’t examine critical thinking skills and cognitive processing.

      • Belle Epoch says:

I have personally taken the Medicare screening test. Here it is: Draw a clock that says 2:30. Remember 3 words.

        Great! You’re FINE!

      • littlemissnaughty says:

There are days when my dad would get furious with anyone for putting that in front of himand for daring to act like he’s “an idiot”, as he puts it. Next morning and he can’t hold a spoon. He doesn’t have dementia but there’s a memory/orientation issue attached to his illness.

I’m no fan of weight speculation, just because it’s next to impossible to judge by looking at someone (I’ve been off wildly in the past). But I think it’s safe to say that his lifestyle pretty much guarantees SOME health issues.

      • Luna says:

It’s a standard cognitive test. I use that very one all of the time to help diagnose dementia or Alzheimer’s. Drawing a clock face is one of the biggest challenges for Alzheimer’s patients, and they get angry at times when it is presented. With early alzheimer’s folks tend to jumble up all of the numbers at the bottom of the clock.

      • C-Shell says:

I took my first Medicare screening test this past summer and I only got the three words! I didn’t get to draw a clock! No one said, “Life is fair.”

      • Gemma13 says:

Former skilled nursing facility Speech and Language Pathologist here. I have administered this assessment so many times I can recite it in my sleep. It is a cognitive assessment designed to SCREEN for dementia. It is not intended to be used as a full assessment. We used it as a screen in the SNF on new admits because it’s quick and easy and picks up the people who already have a dx or need one. I’d like to see him take full cognitive assessment.

    • Belle Epoch says:

They lied about his height. His driver’s license says 6’2”, as does every source online (which they are sweeping as we speak). I bet he is 6’ in bare feet. By changing his height they were able to fudge the BMI.

Trump always goes by what he “feels.” He over-values buildings with his name on them by MILLIONS of dollars. He states his net worth on what he personally feels he is worth, which is beyond price. He probably told the doctor he “feels” under 240 – by one pound!

Why would a career Navy Doctor clearly lie? Can the President ORDER him to say things? I would quit before lying to the entire country for a Sh-thole.

      • Annabelle Bronstein says:

Yes, the height lie is the easiest lie to debunk. Trump might actually weigh around 240-250 because he’s only 6′ tall. The tallest he could possibly be is 6’1

      • Olenna says:

The lying shit doesn’t surprise me. I’ve been in and around the military for many years and have seen too many instances of people compromising their integrity for the sake of career advancement or other desires (cabinet appointments–Kelly and McMaster). But this admiral has taken it to another level. He is giving military medicine a shady name and casting one of it’s premiere medical centers in a bad light. The entire thing is just sad, especially for the Walter Reed medical staff or patients that haven’t been drinking the orange Kool-aid.

      • magnoliarose says:

Everything 45 touches he taints. It was obvious the doctor was lying. He almost got caught out by Sanjay Gupta.

    • Milla says:

Or… He isn’t lying and 45 is mentally capable but just pure evil.

    • StarLord says:

      So here’s how this works…

He says to the doctor: “You go stand over there and I’ll tell you what the machine says”, presumably the doctor at this point makes some vague protestation and Mr. Trump reminds him “I am the President of the United States, I do not lie.”

And so it isn’t as simple as the doctor lied, he’s boxed in in relation to the truth. Let’s face it you can’t force the President to do anything. Ultimately you have to just do what you’re told. Or quit.

These guys with NPD – they’re all the same. They use all the same tricks to distort your reality.

      He just gaslit the Nation.

And then he blames you for it.

      • magnoliarose says:

I couldn’t agree more if I tried. I never thought of that scenario but it sounds plausible.

    • Snappyfish says:

They are also lying about via height. He was always listed as 6’2 & now after a year I. Office he has grown an inch? Please. The whole lot are a disgrace

      • Ankhel says:

If he’s always been 6’2, then he’s not 6’2 now. He’s in his seventies, he must’ve shrunk a bit, like everyone else at that age.

      • trumptrickle says:

        “he must’ve shrunk a bit”

        That’s what Stormy Daniels said.

    • Rice says:

Come on now. He’s not fat, he’s just big-boned. He isn’t unstable, he possesses….*Conway swallow* parallel intelligence. #alternativefacts

    • Raina says:

Lmfao perfect score. That’s the kind of test you get an A just for participation. I’m surprised they didn’t scratch behind his ear and coo,”Who’s a good boy.”
All toddlers get a perfect score in fingerprinting, too.
      And, umm, 239 lbs.?
Which butt cheek did they weight first?
You’re a loser, orange scumbag. You can’t even weigh yourself correctly.
I hope they gave this cretin a cookie for not humping the doctors leg afterward. Actually, I wouldn’t bet my life on the fact he didn’t.
      And this doctor can su………..

    • Helen Smith says:

Depends. 239 pounds of muscle weighs more but takes up less space than 239 pounds of fat.

      • RuddyZooKeeper says:

239 pounds of feathers = 239 pounds of muscle = 239 pounds of hair = 239 pounds of fat
Measure of weight is always the same no matter the substance. Density, surface area, etc., are what differ.

    • jwoolman says:

The doc is lying about Trump’s height being 6’3″ also. Look at pics of Obama (6’1″) and Trump – they’re the same height. Look at Dave Letterman (6’2″) right next to Trump, who looks about an inch shorter than Letterman.

Someone pointed out that 239 lbs would keep a 6’3″ Trump just under the BMI for obesity, and speculated that’s why both figures were falsified together. Trump has been lying about his height for a long time, though.

Saying that Trump needs to lose 10-15 lbs is rather unbelievable also. He was easily gaining ten pounds a month after the election and when in the White House for at lest the first few months. He may have slowed down the weight gain and even lost a few, but the doc had to have noticed that big change.

I saw pictures of athletes who were about the same claimed weight and height. Even accounting for the fact that a volume of muscle weighs more than an equal volume of fat and Trump must have a high percentage of fat now, 239 lbs really seems way too low for the guy we see in videos and pictures.

I wonder if all the new Executive Time in the residence has more to do with letting him rest more out of sight, since he really doesn’t look well compared to the campaign. He has bursts of looking better when he’s heavily made up and at a rally, which is an emotional boost for him.

And if the doc (who misspelled his own name on the Friday report) misreported the weight and height, that brings the whole report into question. I’m really disappointed, I would have expected silence on privacy grounds rather than lies from the doc, who has been Physician to the President for a while. What’s the point of such reports if they are so readily falsified to keep the President happy? Better to say nothing.

This reminds me of the 1.5 million people we failed to see at the inauguration. Doc is holding a lot back or is incompetent. But his report on Obama seemed normal and believable.

      • trumptrickle says:

As you said, the rallies boost him and he looks visibly healthier and more vital at them. He was throwing a lot of them post election to gloat. Now they are more and more seldom. Since it’s his favorite thing to do that actually requires getting out of bed, he must be in worse shape if he’s stopped bothering with them.

    • toDaze says:

A doctor can’t diagnose a patient as having a “disorder” without specific feedback; I loathe putin’s bloated puppet, but by the same metric, a doctor couldn’t determine I was “crazy” unless I “felt” crazy and disclosed concerns. However, by the doctor’s claims, the “president” isn’t a dotard, but a Kleptocratic enemy of the American people. O

    • Trashaddict says:

The guys they are comparing Dumb Donnie to in the photos are athletes with a lot of muscle, which is more dense than fat. So it just might be possible.
I’m so bummed they didn’t move on to asking him questions on the constitution.

  2. Onerous says:

While I do think it’s weird to compare him to athletes (remember that muscle takes up less space on a body), I DO think it’s fair to compare him to people I know…

My brother and BIL are both 6’2 and even at 225-240 lbs looked merely “husky” for lack of a better word.

Trump looks absolutely corpulent. Even if he is “fluffy” the man looks every bit of 300 lbs.

As to the claim he’s in “excellent health” despite his cholesterol, weight and diet? Puh-lease.

    • Clare says:

Your use of the word husky reminded me of that season of Weeds when the little girl stars in adverts for ‘Huskeroos’…’they’re just roomier’ lol

    • Erinn says:

There’s NO way he’s only 239. I’m willing to believe he’s under 300 – but not by much.

    • Rapunzel says:

I look as corpulent as Trump. I am 5 feet tall. Last time my fat ass hit the scale I was 234. No way in hell he’s 239.

    • Larelyn says:

Isn’t he or someone in his entourage known for admitting he fudges his height and weight to come in with a bmi just under obese? This is highly suspect, but I don’t want to th hink the doctor is lying to us…

      • Levin says:

That same doctor went on TV and mentioned Trump’s “superior genes”. He is 100% lying.

      • magnoliarose says:

The flowery compliments were a dead giveaway as was the dog and pony show. 45 always go for the show. The doc is a liar.

    • LadyMTL says:

      Yes to all of this.
Also, if you look at pics of him standing next to Obama they’re almost the exact same height, and Obama is listed at 6’1”. And supposedly on Trump’s old drivers license his height was 6’2” so…methinks someone is playing with the numbers a wee bit.

      • Annabelle Bronstein says:

The height thing is really obvious. He’s around 6’1, you can especially tell in picture with him next to Jared Kushner, who is a true 6’3.

      • Onerous says:

I think you must be right – Ivanka is listed as 5’11 and any photo of them together, where she’s wearing heels, she’s easily 2-3″ taller than he is. Hm.

      • Surely Wolfbeak says:

      • Christin says:

The extra inch gets him in the overweight category, per the BMI calculator.

He appears to lack any muscle tone (other than in his overworked mouth). I have seen elderly homebound men with more muscle tone.

      • minx says:

And of course he had to be 239 pounds…at the very top of the 230s. Not 240.
        Yeah, not buying it.

    • Dita von Katzhausen says:

My husband is 6’3 and he probably weighs around 240. Maybe even more, he won’t tell me and that is just my guess. He definitely looks a lot skinnier that Donnie McBedburgers. And that is not the love speaking, cause I think he should lose some weight ;)

    • minx says:

My son is 6′ 4″, broad shoulders, big feet and bones. He weighs about 260. He looks slimmer than Trump.

      • magnoliarose says:

My husband is around the same height as your son, and he weighs 220 and is broad-shouldered and lanky like a swimmer. He’s in good shape so even counting muscle weighs more than fat, it is just not believable.
        Just nope.

      • Coco says:

My son is and has always been stocky with a height of 5’10″. He has put on extra weight this last year and after a recent guessing game of how much he weighs currently, the number was 243. From an “eyeballing it” standpoint, my son looks almost identical in body shape as 45. I have also been taking vitals from patients for the last 15 years (work in a PCP office) and have become rather skilled at guessing dimensions. Long story short…no way in hell is DT 239#!

    • Squirrel4Ever says:

So, hoping to avoid personal body shaming, but here goes. All of the people in my family are tall. I’m the shortest at 5’10″. They’re all obese to morbidly obese, too. I had to hit almost 400lbs before I really LOOKED fat, because I’m so tall. Now, I’ve lost weight and I’m at 239lbs. There’s no way this motherf $@#&*÷r is only 239. I’m a size 16/18 and don’t look anything near as round and I’m shorter. My dad is 6’3″ and is that size and body shape, he weighs 350, easy. I’d be part of the Girther Movement.

  3. Clare says:

Eh, I believe the doctor. I think he is just a big ol’ sack of flub and no muscle hence lighter than someone with a more muscular physique.

And I know, no fat shaming, but he is a disgusting human so give me a pass this time, yeah?

  4. Hh says:

People know that muscle weighs more than fat, right? Other than that, we can start the Girther Movement.

    • Erin says:

I believe he could weigh that little since he loves to talk about how he’s basically never exercised a day in his life. Stay-Puft surely has zero muscle and is all fat.

    • themummy says:

Muscle does not weigh more than fat. a pound always equals a pound. A pound of muscle and a pound of fat both weigh a pound. However, muscle is far denser than fat and so takes up much less space, being so much more compact. (Personal Trainer/Nutritionist here.)

      • Hikaru says:

That’s not how you measure mass difference between different tissues tho. You compare same volume of things to get their mass. A cube of muscle weights more than a same size cube of fat hence muscle weights more than fat.

Nobody means a pound of something is heavier than a pound of something else.

  5. V4Real says:

    He’s a big fat liar.
    Sorry, couldn’t help it.

  6. Gaby says:

Well, I loathe Trump, I’m not an American, but… I kinda have to say that the comparisson with muscular people is not proof. I absolutely believe he weighs more, but for anybody that works out, they know that muscle and fat don’t have the same shape, meaning 5 pounds of muscles are much smaller and tighter than 5 pounds of fat.
So you might have the same height and weight of someone else, but your muscle/fat ratio will determine the shape of your body.

Edit: Now I feel dirty talking about this man’s body.. =(

    • Peeking in says:

My husband is 6’4” and 235. He never works out (which I’ve been on his case about) but he looks lean, there is no way DJT is 1 inch shorter and 4lbs heavier. No bloody way.

    • Esmom says:

There were a lot of comparisons to athletes, which I think is definitely unfair given their muscles but I also saw lots of photos of “regular” people and Trump’s stats still seem off. Andy Richter, I think, asked people who were 6′ 3″ and 139 to post photos. No one was anywhere near Trumpian proportions.

    • Pumpkin (formally soup, pie) says:

  7. OriginalLala says:

I’m more upset that his doctor is lying about Trump getting a perfect score on his cognitive test than his weight. His obvious lack of cognitive skill is more dangerous to the world than his waistline.

    • CL says:

The test that Trump took (that Trump REQUESTED to take) is available online. It’s fairly basic, but if one thought they wouldn’t do well, they could practice it.

  8. Rapunzel says:

No way this Jabba the Hut looking mofo is 239. More like 339.

But let’s not let this distract us from important stuff, like he apparently volunteered for a cognitive exam and got a perfect score. Now THAT lie is something to talk about.

    • LizLemonGotMarried says:

Supposedly it was an Alzheimer’s and other cognitive impairment functionality test-so he scored great for a guy with cognitive impairment. He knows what a camel is!

      • Lindy79 says:

What’s the bet he said “that’s a camel from a shithole country”?

      • Eric says:

For a guy with no muscle and who doesn’t drink, Emperor Zero is quite Jovian. I think his pill diet plus his reported actual diet (Big Macs and Diet Coke) puts him on the curve to heart disease.
I’m really glad he knows what a camel is per his TK-level “cognitive exam,” because he will be thinking about humps while in prison.

      • trumptrickle says:

He probably used the anti-Arab slur when asked to identify the camel, too.

    • Annabelle Bronstein says:

We know the doctor is lying at least about the height, because Trump is only 6’1. If he’d lie about height, why not weight too?

      • Dita von Katzhausen says:

hey, aren’t people growing taller when they get older?? No wait…

      • magnoliarose says:

He defies everything according to his lying doctor. He looked like he was headed for a firing squad. Geesh the man seemed nervous.

  9. Saba says:

I am the least obese person you have ever met in your life, that I can tell you.

    • Alix says:

Pray tell, why does a presumably state-of-the-art White House gym need to be renovated, except possibly to place extra-wide seats on some of the machines?

      He’s 275. At LEAST.

      • Esmom says:

Lol at “extra wide seats.” That’s actually probably the type of thing they want to change. The Obamas (and Bush prior) were very fit. Trump’s not gonna go in there and start doing HIIT like Michelle O — he probably needs the type of stuff placed in rehab centers for the elderly and infirm. Like he’s really going to use it anyway, sigh.

      • Dr. Mrs. The Monarch says:

Extra-wide seats and bigger cup holders for his diet coke! Or slimmer handles for his tiny hands.

I believe the weight measurement. All fat, but no brains. Under his nest of hair it is just more nests of hair all the way down.

    • Pumpkin (formally soup, pie) says:

    • adastraperaspera says:

      People are saying…

  10. RBC says:

The numbers were mixed up. More likely “293” not “239” plus add 7 pounds

    • bluhare says:

I also think the 10-15 lbs he needs to lose “in the next year” are just the pounds that need to come off in the next year, using a sensible one pound a week weight loss. He needs to lose a lot more than that.

      • jwoolman says:

10-15 lbs loss in a year means 1/5 to 1/3 pound per week, assuming 48 weeks since it’s mid-January. That’s unrealistically slow for a guy so far from his ideal weight, but if he cuts back a little on his portions it would be painless. Just one less MacDonald’s cheeseburger per weekday might do it.

    • Dita von Katzhausen says:

  11. Neverwintersand says:

The comparison to professional athletes is inaccurate, because muscle tissue weights more, than the same volume of fat. So he can be legitimately “fluffy” (though i would choose a different word for THAT facade!
    *edited for typos

  12. Maria F. says:

Even if they are not lying he is already borderline obese and taking something for his cholesterol. Plus he has been asked to lose weight. How does that translate to excellent health?

Also, they have to renovate the gym for his requirements? Like goldplate it?

He might be better off just walking during his golf rounds instead of using the cart.

    • Annabelle Bronstein says:

Exactly this. Most people with super high (and rising!) cholesterol are not told that they are super healthy

      • jwoolman says:

If the doctor is increasing his statin dose, that means his cholesterol numbers are getting worse at the current dose. The statin reduces cholesterol made in the body, but maybe he has greatly increased his dietary cholesterol?

    • swak says:

He’ll be playing more golf (if that is possible) for his exercise regime.

      • Ankhel says:

Lord, yes. And when journalists calls him out on his living on the golf course, that Sanders woman will foam around the mouth, claim doctor’s orders, and accuse them of being traitors who wants the POTUS dead. We need to settle on a nickname for Trump like he did with Lying Ted, Crooked Hillary and Sloppy Steve. Constantly changing his nicknames stops them from getting traction.

  14. Chrissy says:

Sad that the doctor (!) is willing to lie for the Stain on Humanity. He’s the POTUS for god’s sake! The American have the right to know that 45 is at least 300 lbs. If he’s in such “excellent” health, why are they upping his cholesterol meds, redesigning the WH gym (that he’ll never use) and recruiting his so-called wife to help him stick his diet? Is she going to overrule his order to have an underling go to McD’s for his usual 2500 calorie lunch? Is she gonna block to door to his padlocked bedroom where he eats and screams at the TV? Clearly, I found the “doctor’s” news conference laughable and insulting.

    • Snowflake says:

Yeah, it’s a load of bull shit. He barely sees his wife and does trump strike you as the kind of guy who will take that advice? More lies

    • Alix says:

I think Melania is going to marinate all his food in (extra) lard first, just to play it safe.

    • ORIGINAL T.C. says:

Remember that anyone of even minor integrity who gets caught in Trump world becomes a liar and compromises their integrity. He soils everyone around him. They probably found something to blackmail this doctor on. The poor man was sweating and so unconvincing as he gave Trump’s health report. I almost fell sorry for him.

  15. broodytrudy says:

DH is 6’4, not particularly toned and 280. The difference in between how he and Trump looks is astounding, but if I had to guess, I would say they weigh close to the same. I don’t think Trump is over 280, but I can certainly see 260 at least.

    • noway says:

Nope why did his license when he was younger but still a middle age adult say he is 6’2″ see link below. You don’t generally grow taller in your 40′s. Isn’t it just convenient that his 239 and 6’3″ weight put him in the overweight category barely instead of obese. You know that category would bother him. Plus same weight as his last physical, not sure I believe that he looks bigger to me than when he started running for President. Why do I feel his height and weight may have been self reported.

The doctor did a disservice to an overweight American public by almost dismissing the food, exercise and weight issue, especially since he’s on a statin which controls cholesterol and triglycerides. If he was a regular person, the doctor would have said your numbers are good, but your weight, lack of exercise and waist measurements mean you need to change some habits. You have been lucky so far, but you keep going with this regime you may have issues. He never would have said excellent health, especially since he knows he is on a statin which he is increasing. I also found that odd he was increasing it with his numbers which weren’t really in that territory to increase them.

  16. skyblue says:

I’ve worked as a nurse for 20 years and during that time I’ve weighed more people than I can count. There is no way his stated height and weight is accurate.

    • Betsy says:

You should weigh me! I am built like a prize heifer, but evidently I look slightly less load bearing than I am, because I’ve had nurses and doctors express surprise at how high my number is (which sounds like I’m proud of being big, I’m not, just that I look different from my number).

  17. Beth says:

I don’t believe for a second that he’s in excellent health and only weighs 239 pounds. #fake health report
He needs to release the #girth certificate
It would take more than upping the dose of meds to handle the cholesterol of a guy who’s gobbling up a million Big Macs and bucket after bucket of KFC everyday

  18. Shannon says:

I can believe the weight. What I can’t believe is the cognitive test. What, did they just ask him his name?

  19. ALOT says:

I am not fat shaming a president.. or anyone else for that matter. I think there are far more important things to talk about when it comes to Trump. The size of his waist band does not interest me. And… It seems quite shallow actually. Americans are fat… we just are.

    • Alix says:

I’m not fat-shaming, either — I’m shaming a dickhead who LIES about it, as he does everything else.

    • Beth says:

Tubby Trump feels no shame when he calls people ” miss piggy ” or “short and fat.” If he can comment on peoples weight and say cruel things about their looks, I feel no guilt and don’t feel shallow commenting about him.
Yes, there are more important things to talk about, but the POTUS must be unaware, because all he does is carelessly insult everyone he dislikes or anyone who doesn’t endlessly compliment him.

I don’t think it’s fat shaming but more questioning the Drs health report. If he’s willing to shave off lbs to appease Trumps vanity, what else is he lying about?
The Dr also claimed he expected 7 additional years of excellent health, what reputable Dr could make that claim?
This is a common thread of people that Trump surrounds himself with. (( and yes I know he served Obama too ) I liken it to Stockholm syndrome where people abandon principles to survive….

  26. B n A fn says:

The dotard now has compromised his doctor, meaning his dr lying to cover for the dotard. 1) anyone with eyes see that the dotard weight more than 239 lbs. 2) he’s 71+ yo and according to his doctor has grown one inch. His drivers looked license has his height at 6’ 2”, yesterday the dr said his height is 6’ 3”. People get shorter the older they get, not taller. I bet he got a copy of the cognitive test he asked his dr to give him was from his “hippie” dr, studied it in order to “ace”. This whole show with his dr yesterday, was a show, not reality, IMO. Btw, according to the news, if he’s 6’ 3” tall, he’s not listed as obese. If he’s 6’ 2” tall he’s slightly obese. There is always a lie with everything with this dotard.

    • noway says:

Yes, I’m guessing this was self reported. My doctor does make me get on the scale, but she hasn’t taken my height just lets me report. My guess is the President asked to self report weight too. I know if he was even 240 and 6’3″ that would put him in the obese category. Funny how he misses it by just one lb. Sure I believe that.

    • swak says:

On the weight and height thing – every time I or one of the kiddos have gone to the dr and was weighed or measured for height it was a nurse or medical assistant doing the measuring. It’s possible that if the dr did not actually weigh and measure Trump and was not in the room when it was done the numbers could have been fudged. Just a thought.

    • Alix says:

“Donny Dotard” has a nice ring to it.

  27. Franny says:

Sorry dotard. We all have eyes.

  28. Realitycheck says:

He looks like he smells bad.

  29. Cora says:

Standing next to Obama you can see Trump is 6’1″. The reason Trump keeps adding to his height – telling the DMV he was 6’2″ in 2012 and now saying he’s 6’3″ – is because it brings down his BMI as his weight increases. Given Trump’s height and weight are complete fictions, I don’t believe for one second he got a perfect score on that cognitive test.

  30. Lila says:

I’m supposed to believe Donald Trump is around the same height and weight as Quarterback Tom Brady . Ha.

  32. Lucy2 says:

While I don’t believe a word of this report, I’m also not surprised. I can’t imagine a doctor coming out and saying that the president, any president, was in poor health, physically or mentally.
I don’t believe for a moment that he is 239. I also have to think his cholesterol is pretty high, hence the need for medication, and with all the junk he eats, I’m wondering about blood sugar is well.

    • Esmom says:

Yes, there’s a precedent for physicians covering up POTUSs’ health issues — Kennedy, Reagan FDR.

And yes, I’d think if he’s not diabetic he’s pre-diabetic for sure.

    • SoulSPA says:

No doctor in their right minds would say the truth in case he dotus were ill. National security considerations and *lots of money*. All that doctor said in the press conference/medical report published *was* effing cleared by doctors, military, political strategists etc. We have to make our on minds based on what we see but no one cares.

      • B n A fn says:

Thank you. If he was ill the dr would have to cover for him. Can you imaging, the stock market would crash and all hell would break lose, just a thought. The dr should just come out give his report, not take questions for an hour. He opened himself up to show he’s lying for the dotard.

    • Trashaddict says:

Lucy, I think you’ve got something there. The medical assistants mis-transcribe sometimes. So it might be, “oops! that wasn’t his weight, it was his cholesterol…uh,oh, wait, that was his blood sugar”!

I feel like people generally are focusing too much on the more frivolous things (e.g. Fire and Fury gossip, Trump’s weight) than his administration’s policies and the harm he’s doing to the country and the world.

    • Beth says:

Seriously? Commenting on frivolous things like this, is kind of what happens on Twitter and gossip sites. There’s plenty of focusing (even here), on the harm he’s causing, but it’s good to have a laugh at the scumbag who’s always lying and bullying

    • B n A fn says:

I believe people are focusing more on all the lies. Most people cannot believe anything coming out of this White House. Anyone who come in contact with this man is compromised, eg, the “shithole” comments. It’s a shame we cannot take anything coming from him as the truth, I don’t.

    • Rogue Economist says:

Well, on Celebitchy and similar sites, yes.

On sites like “The Hill”, WaPo, NYT or Mother Jones, no. Much more attention paid to the myriad deeper problems with this Admin and GOP Congress.

      • B n A fn says:

Remember, this is a gossip site, that’s what we do here. On real news sites like WaPo, ect that’s different.

    • lucy2 says:

Except we do talk about all those things here all the time too. This is just one post about one news story.

    • Korra says:

His health, especially as the oldest U.S. POTUS to take office, is not a frivolous matter. The man is clearly overweight – possibly obese – shows signs of cognitive decline and regardless of those other factors, is a clear-cut case of malignant narcissism. That the White House just dismiss all of this and declared him healthy – and got an esteemed medical professional to go along with it – is troubling.

  35. Anare says:

Well muscles weigh more than fat. Could be he’s just a soft blob. No muscles at all. I won’t call him fluffy cuz that is too cute for this ahole. Stick with blob.

  36. Stella in NH says:

How did 45 grow an inch in height when he’s a senior citizen? His driver’s license says 6’ 2” tall. He stands at the same height as Obama who is 6’ 1” tall.

I don’ believe his height and weight at all. Bring him on stage like they do to boxers and let us all see his height and weight measured.

    • Digital Unicorn (aka Betti) says:

The boxing weight in is not an image of 45 i want in my head thanks. He’s gross fully clothed.

  37. Veronicalodge says:

I tipped the scales at 201 lbs before I got into a healthy lifestyle. At 5’9. The president, at 6’1…whatever he claims as his height is, 239? We all carry weight differently but he has to be closer to 300 lbs. I could suck in my tummy and look way better than this waste of space.

  38. Green Is Good says:

Let’s just call him a fat bastard and be done with it.

  39. Robert Boyd says:

Even if it is true his BMI would be 29 and that is clearly overweight.

  40. Rogue Economist says:

Oh please. He’s not 6’3” as he claims. He is 71 years old, so it’s possible that he once was 6’3” or close to it. But it you look at photos of him standing next to other men of similar height, you can see that he’s not as tall as, say, Jeb Bush who is 6’3”. He even looks slightly shorter than the 6’1” Obama.

But allowing him to be 6’1”, you can Google “6’ 1” 240 lbs” and your search will return scads of photos of NON-athlete men of this height and weight. It becomes clear that 45 is NOT anywhere near 240.

Maybe 6’1” and 280-300. Those look a lot more like DJT.

  41. CharlieBouquet says:

Donny McBedburgers……dead, you killed me. I donkey laughed.

  42. Ennie says:

he has womanly hips, and his his pear shape makes him look… immmm
also, I bet Melanis is “thrilled” to have to hang around him trying to get him to lose weight. I hope she shames him and calls the press the way he shamed Alicia Machado (wishful thinking).

  43. tracking says:

Mr. tracking has seen 45 in person and said he does not appear as heavy in person as he does in photos. fwiw. However, I too find this number hard to believe.

From Fire and Fury by Michael Wolff

    • magnoliarose says:

I need to look at that again. I wonder why no one is bringing this up. I guess because most people don’t believe him in the first place.

  46. S says:

I think that 1) It matters little in the grand scheme of horror falling upon the nation and 2) It’s totally possible they actually weighed, but did not actually measure the president, leaving Trump able to lie, without making the doctor technically lie, too.

As many of pointed out there are plenty of images of Trump standing directly next to Obama — like, in a line — from the inauguration and they are of near identical height (e.g.

Obama’s listed height from his last physical in office was 6-1, Trump’s is now saying he is 6-3. But, worth noting, that the actual report ( lists him as 6-2.5, which, by the way, does put him in the BMI “obese” category at 239 lbs vs the 29.9 “overweight” he’d get if he was 6-3.

    • Trashaddict says:

This makes me think he added inches to his height because he just couldn’t bear being shorter than Obama.

    • Trashaddict says:

This makes me think he added inches to his height because he just couldn’t bear being shorter than Obama.
OK, point-by-point review of physical exam. And just remember, a physician who’s trying to be cagey will probably omit findings, unless they are helping someone fake a disability.
HR 68 – did they give him a sedative before this evaluation???
Systolic 122 – handy that finasteride for hair loss can also bring your BP down and help an enlarged prostate.
Dental – Healthy teeth and gums. Looks at his photos, folks. Don’t think those are real teeth, do you?
Transthoracic echo – atria “grossly normal” . No need to say “grossly”. I’ve never seen it on an echo report. Sounds suspiciously like a hedge. If your right atrium is big, you may have increased pulmonary pressure and lung disease. ?Sleep apnea?
His hgb is 16. Normal varies by lab (not listed). Upper limit could be 16 or 18. If it’s high, it could be because he’s chronically hypoxic. ?Sleep apnea?
If he’s a nonsmoker, why did they do a chest CT? No indication in the rest of the population-
GU – “normal exam” – prostate is not mentioned. How’s your prostate, Donnie?
Rosacea – may be connected with increased cardiac risk.
Oh, and yeah, if you take his numbers and calculate out his ASCVD (think cardiovascular event) risk, it’s 16% in the next 10 years. Let’s add his coronary calcium score (not included in the official report and god knows what else they left out: 133 (over 100 is increased risk. No doubt it does got up with age, but there it is. So please don’t let him hang around the White House for another 8. It was cagey of the physician to give him another 8 years, which he can say with impunity based on actuarial tables that given him 13 (ok that’s the bad news).

  47. Incredulous says:

Honestly, if Trump does not want his details released, the doctor is bound to respect his wishes under patient confidentiality so there’s that. The doctor also seemed to tip a wink by parodying Trump’s speech patterns in his answers. Hell, the secret service has to take the president’s poop with them when abroad because it is a matter of national security (no, really).

Plus, it’s Trump. If he said it was sunny outside, I would grab a raincoat and umbrella automatically. If he’s South of 300 pounds, it ain’t by much.

  48. Avery says:

The one thing that is so great about this is that Rump is so vain! He is so insecure about his hair and his looks, so he HATES that people are talking about his weight and that he had to prove he is not crazy! How humiliating for him.

    • tracking says:

Yes, this is the good part. :-)

    • minx says:

Yes! It’s got to be killing him that people are in disbelief. Love it!

    • Beth says:

It surprises me that such a vain man would keep using the orange spray tan that the world mocks him about. Him not being embarrassed about the bleached yellow rats nest on the head and florescent orange skin is unbelievable

      • lucy2 says:

He’s delusional and has convinced himself it all looks good.

      • Kelly says:

I think he has a skin condition. In one of the debates he had more natural colored skin, and you could see it better. Tanning beds have helped those with eczema, so maybe he’s dumb enough to believe a spray tan works as well.

  49. Ally says:

The Girther Movement should demand that Trump step on a series of three scales provided by the media, in front of live rolling media cameras.

  50. minx says:

Sign me up for the Girther Movement.

  51. aenflex says:

My ex was 6 foot 5 and at his most muscly he was 240. At his least muscly, around 210, 220. Muscle weighs more than fat, so those comparison pics aren’t really accurate.
I’d say between 240-250 is an accurate and believable weight for Trump.

    • Beth says:

If your ex was muscular, his girth measurement probably wouldn’t be the same as Trumps. A guy who pigs out on fast food all day like Trump, usually has more fleshy meat in the belly area

  52. Lilith says:

The cognitive test is often called a “mini mental” exam. I have given it to elderly patients I had as a speech therapist. It is strictly a screening measure. it should not be used as a replacement for a complete clinical assessment of mental status.

  53. Redgrl says:

Just watching CNN and Dr Sanjay Gupta is debunking the “excellent health” foolishness. He’s already shown he has heart disease – every point over 100 is an indicator of heart disease & I believe his score was 139. Add that to the lies about his height, weight to flub the BMI (“so no one will call me fat!”) and the simplistic cognitive exam – this is a total joke.

  54. Cee says:

You can’t compare his weight to that of athletes. They have muscles, he has fat. Of course the athletes, at the same or lower weight, look much leaner than Trump.

  55. Mrs.Krabapple says:

What’s very telling to me is that at 6’3″ and 239 pounds, his BMI comes in at 29.9 — the very cusp between “overweight” and “obese.” Even one single pound more (or one inch shorter), and he would be “obese.” So the “239″ and “6’3″” are numbers that were carefully chosen (and by “chosen” I mean “manipulated,” “fudged,” or “completely fabricated”) to avoid the truth that Trump is obese. I have zero respect for this so-called “doctor,” but I suppose even doctors can be seduced by an association with the white house and celebrity.

  56. themummy says:

Yeah, it’s patently absurd. My husband is 6 feet tall exactly and is a few pounds overweight, technically, at 210 lbs…but because of his build, he still looks kind of like a thin string bean (just with a wee, very wee, belly). He looks kind of lanky. NO WAY is Trump 239. No way. Nope. He has WAY more than 19 lbs on my hubs.

And really, we are supposed to be one pound away from obese? Exactly one pound? Not to mention that his driver’s license says he’s 6’2″ while he claimed 6’3″ on his physical. If he used his actual height, he’d be obese. This many is just a giant lie.

That all said, I look forward to his massive coronary. May it happen while he’s devouring a fillet o’ fish and fries on camera. Yes, I’m a nasty woman. That’s a nasty thing to say. I mean it 100%.

    • B n A fn says:

How can he be in excellent health when he’s obese and his cholesterol is high, and he looks like hell. The dr said he’s going to up his dosage of his Lipitor, and put him on a diet. He sent his dr out to lie to the people as usual.

  57. minx says:

Yep, ONE pound away from being obese, isn’t that lucky? Just one pound.
    Not buying it.

  58. robyn says:

For a man wearing a military uniform this doctor sure looked nervous. I guess he’s scared of losing his cushy job. The fact that the scales came to 239 and didn’t quite reach the 240 mark … because that wouldn’t sound as good, would it. The fact that the doc described Trump as being in “excellent” health when he isn’t. The fact that that cognitive examine (check it out for yourself) was pretty much what any kid could accomplish. The fact that the doctor more or less said (to Trump’s utter delight) that he was superior genetically. The whole thing stinks.

Actually, more interesting is the drug he takes for hair loss. There are negative side effects that could be contributing to Trump’s despicable behavior.

One good thing about the supposed “normal” to “excellent” assessment is that Trump can’t use the excuse of mental illness for what is about to befall him.

  59. Pandy says:

The Girther Movement? God I love the internet.

  60. Hazel says:

I think they got somebody to fudge the numbers just enough to not meet the official BMI number for ‘obese’. That’s 30.0, he’ 29.9. Totally the trump ego & influence at work.

  61. Sarah says:

Honestly, we all know that 239 pounds on an athlete is going to look completely different than 239 lbs on a man in his 70s…and not in a good way…😬

  62. GMonkey says:

I work in Radiology at a VA facility. The majority of my patients are men in the 50-75 year age range. I understand that muscle weighs more than fat, etc. I see many veterans in poor and average health. My guess is that he’s 6’2″ 260-270 ish. I’m sure that the doctor wouldn’t lie on Trump’s actual health record, but I believe that he would lie to the public.

    • Tiffany :) says:

” I’m sure that the doctor wouldn’t lie on Trump’s actual health record, but I believe that he would lie to the public.”

      Yes, agreed.

  63. lyla says:

for everyone who is saying that muscle weighs more than fat, that’s wrong. guess how much a pound of muscle weighs compared the fat? one pound! however, muscle is more dense and takes up less room than fat. so yeah, it might not be fair to compare him to athletes, but even if you compare him to other politicians or your regular joe, there’s still no way he’s 6’3 and 239. my dad used to be 6’2, but because he’s 60, he’s probably around 6 feet now (how dumpy don grew an inch at 71 years of age is beyond me – must be alternative facts) and he weighs around 220. he’s not muscular – the only workout he gets is walking around or playing golf and he does not look as big as dumpy don. dumpy don standing next to a 6’1 obama? or a 6’3 jeb bush? yeah, there’s no way he’s 6’3. so if they lie about his height, why not his weight?

  64. Jules says:

He’s obese! Of course it’s a lie just like most of the things he and his closest advisors say. It’s yet more evidence of a corrupt, self-serving, and incompetent administration.

  65. Mi'smom says:

Do you all remember that during the election he was on a “Hillary doesn’t have the physical stamina to be president” kick? Diversion and distraction. Maybe he should get out of golf cart and walk once in awhile. And gasp – carry his own golf clubs. Exercise solved!

  66. Deeana says:

That doctor’s nervousness was making ME nervous just watching him!

I agree with the 260-270ish estimate for the weight. The height? He did NOT grow an inch – if anything he shrunk an inch. And that will continue.

Doctors have been outright lying to both the press and the public about Presidents’ health conditions since we have had a President.

  67. Bean says:

Let’s go over some alternative facts from this “report”
    1. He’s more that 239lb
    2. He has dentures
    3. He’s not in “excellent health”
    source: my eyes

  68. Ebon says:

You didnt mention how people think its forged because the doctors name was spelled wrong and it was “Dr. Somebody” instead of “Somebody, M.D.”

  69. Elizabeth says:

    He ain’t no 6’3″, either.

  70. jwoolman says:

Gina – the shaming is because we know he’s lying about the height (we have pictures) and we seriously doubt the weight and the lack of medical concern for the many pounds the guy has put on in the past year. He looked like he was adding ten pounds per month for quite a while and he wasn’t thin to begin with. He is far more sedentary now than ever before and eats a lot at a sitting.

Doc is not being truthful and also is uncharacterisitically gushing. Take a look at his report on Obama for comparison. I wouldn’t been bothered if he didn’t issue a public report at all (privacy), but the lying is disappointing.

We’re tired of Trump and his minions lying their heads off about everything. The Girther movement is delightful.

“Double standard,” lol. Surely you jest. And what’s been “splashed all over the internet” about Hillary by right wing and Russian goons is far worse than her alleged weight.

Hillary was subject to speculation about her health BY TRUMP even before the election! Can you blame people for giving him a taste of his own medicine?

  73. Raina says:

Gina that because he’s 239 pounds of worthless
It’s not really about his weight. It’s the sack of orange crap that carries it.
I know I will enjoy and relish every second he is eviscerated no matter how.

If this conversation is sad (Sad!) and pathetic (Sad!), fine by me. I am still a proud supporter of the Girther Movement.
