Blac Chyna bought herself a ‘push present’: a $400,000 Rolls Royce, ugh

FFN_MUG_Amber_Rose_100116_52191528

In case anyone cares at this point, on the season finale of Rob & Chyna this past Sunday, Blac Chyna really did take a paternity test because for real, there was some question about whether Chyna is carrying Rob Kardashian’s child. According to the show, Rob Kardashian IS the father, Maury-style. Of course that doesn’t mean that Chyna and Rob are even on good terms at this point. I hate to say this considering they’re about to bring a baby into the world, but I doubt they’ll make it to the end of the year. Apparently, Rob isn’t even buying Chyna a “push present” for the birth of their daughter. Chyna bought herself a push present.

She may not have given birth to her daughter yet, but Blac Chyna already has her push present checked off her to-do list. E! News has learned that the pregnant reality star purchased a luxurious, $400,000 Rolls Royce Wednesday afternoon. The future mother of two paid for her fancy new ride with a cashier’s check.

Chyna showed off her new wheels on Snapchat, videotaping herself cruising in the new car with the radio on and posing with the car parked. That’s right—no minivan in sight for this mama.

While a partner typically purchases a special something for their special someone after giving birth, it seems the 28-year-old took shopping matters into her own hands as fiancé Rob Kardashian did not come along.

[From E! News]

The whole concept of push presents offends many people, but I’ve always believed that at the heart of it, it was sort of a nice gesture. The problem is when “push presents” become something expected of every couple, or when the superficiality of it trumps the gesture, with people competing for who gets the biggest and best push present. Like, I truly thing a nice piece of jewelry for the mother is a sweet idea. I think the idea of a woman buying herself a “push present” is… interesting, I guess. Feminism, ladies doing it for themselves, and if she wants a new Rolls, so be it. When the baby comes, the Rolls is going to be full of baby vom and diapers anyway. She should have just bought herself a minivan and saved the extra money for when she needs to support herself and the baby after the breakup.

I have no shade for Chyna on this. I say, God bless her and let her live her life. She has had some rough things in her life and no one has the right to judge her. I just want her to be happy. I think she’s the nicest Kardashian out there and I want her to enjoy her life.

    • Zapp Brannigan says:

I saw an episode of her show (hangs head in shame) at a friends house and have to admit that she seemed to be the best part of it, when Rob or any of the K family came on they just sucked the joy out of it. She just seemed fun and light, genuine spark in a way they can’t fake.

      • Locke Lamora says:

She’s the only one in that family who has a personality. Whatever that personality may be, at least it’s there.

      • nikko says:

I watched the show (wasn’t going to at first) and I was surprise how nice Chyna is. She seemed to want a relationship w/ Rob and she tried, but Rob went back into hiding and blocked her phone number. She talked to Kris and Kim about helping her in getting back w/ Rob. Her andKim mete w/ him and he promise he was going to do better but….. She made it clear that she wasn’t going to give up her house to move in w/ Rob because she didn’t want to be that dependent on him. They should do the show w/ Chyna and her friends, they were all entertaining.

Her Money, Her Vagine, Her Push Present *shrug*

  3. Llmae says:

I don’t understand push presents. The baby is the freaking present!

    • mia girl says:

Yeah I was never into the idea of a big deal push present. All I wanted was a cold six pack of Bass after I gave birth… and my husband complied. Lol

    • detritus says:

The baby is a present to both parents.
Only one had to ruin their body and biscuit to bring that present in to the world.

It’s a gesture to say – thank you for dealing with the hell of pregnancy and labour

It’s a gesture that shows the dad, or other mom, understands the work and hardship that comes with being a miracle factory. Now a new car seems like a lot, but I don’t have tons of Ka$h (kredit?)

      • pinetree13 says:

I may be being picky, but I hate when people use the phrase “ruin their body”.

I have two children and my body certainly isn’t “ruined”. Neither is my “biscuit” as you put it ha ha! I don’t mind saying it’s “hard on the body” or “may change the body” but really, saying it “ruined” the body is…not that nice if you think about it.

But then I never got a ‘push present’ neither ! :P

    • Crox says:

Depends on the mother. A lot of women, even when they wish for the baby very hard, do not regard them as presents or rewards for giving birth, more like a wonderful adventure just starting. After all babies are a lot of work. So no shade if the not-so-wonderful experience of labour is rewarded with something else.

My husband bought me a silver necklace a week or two after our son was born; it wasn’t a ‘push present’ so far as we were concerned, because he’d be appalled at that phrase! It was a complete surprise to me, but he said he just wanted me to have a special piece of jewelry to mark such an important time for our relationship. I love it because it reminds me of how happy we felt and I think it’s the same for him

      • Sea Dragon says:

        That’s very sweet!

      • swak says:

Kudos to your husband. But these women who are expecting a present and a BIG present are ridiculous. I wanted a Mother’s Day present when I was pregnant with my first (she was born in Sept), but it was really an excuse to get me the rocker I wanted (we didn’t have a lot of extra money). But to each their own.

    • Nasty Little Darling says:

I like the idea of Babymoon as a push present. After the baby comes it’s so hard to get time like that immediately, if I had the option I would choose relaxing decadent vacation before instead of something for after. Especially if it’s not even your first baby, a weekend away to relax is heaven.

As far as push presents, I love the idea of a simple piece of jewelry but I do think the dad should get something for being there to support the mama. Childbirth is no joke!

      • geekychick says:

Dad should get something for being there? Isn’t that kinda….normal? Imean, it’s not like dad’s spine, hormones and whole body overall are shot to hell during pregnancy and birth.
nota bene: we don’t have push presents in my country/culture. or baby showers. (thank god!) just regular old presents for te baby first time you get to see it.

      • Nasty Little Darling says:

Yes, because ever since I became a birth worker I’ve realized how much more of a role dads are playing in the births of their children. They’re really showing up mentally emotionally and physically for their wives, they’re going to the classes, they’re learning about the different types of birth. They’re supporting their wife the best way that they can and they’re also taking an active part in her labor. Taking off their shirts and doing skin to skin. It’s heartwarming!

So if the mom is going to get something for doing something that’s kind of a timeless thing, and you know fairly regular, then I think the partner should get a present too, but personallt I think push presents are kind of ridiculous.

    • Audrey says:

My husband gave me the best present ever. He saved up vacation for 2 fiscal years of vacation time (pregnancy and it reset 2 days after our daughter was born). Then used almost all of it to stay home for 4 weeks to help care for our baby.

      It was wonderful.

Given that Rob and Blac don’t really have jobs or secure income, that money could be better spent on the future of her kids….

  4. Trixie says:

I think the idea of a gift to mark the birth of a child is sweet, but only if both mother and father get something, or even better if they do some sort of joint gift they both can enjoy. But when the gift is like some sort of “compensation” for the woman birthing the child, that’s when it gets gross. I dislike term “push present” in general.

    • Clare says:

In my family women receive ‘push presents’ (NOT CALLED THAT!!!!!!!), which the child (if a girl) or the child’s wife (if its a boy) is then given as a wedding present. Personally I find it a really sweet tradition.

    • ariadne says:

My husband’s gift to me was a spontaneous idea he hadvso it never felt tacky to me.

  5. Radley says:

Does anybody else get the feeling this is a fake relationship which is producing a real child and that Blac Chyna was well paid for her services? I mean this is all too tabloid ready with her being Tyga’s ex who is now with Rob’s sister Kylie. It’s gross. And personally I think it’s also fake.

I also think that at least a couple of Kim and Kourtney’s kids are stunt babies produced for narrative purposes. I mean their personal lives are their business. So it makes a sick kind of sense that they make babies with business at least partially in mind.

  6. liz_bee says:

I watched the first episode of this trainwreck, and I felt so bad for everyone involved. Chyna and Rob both have their own personal problems, and they needed to work on themselves separately before committing to each other. And a BABY. That’s what made it so cringey for me. They are bringing a CHILD into this mess. I could see how Rob needed someone to bring him out of his bunker and start dealing with his problems, but he really needed to sort himself out before becoming a father. Chyna has an explosive personality, but dating a Kardashian, especially given her history with the rest of the family, was a terrible choice. Now they have to maintain some sort of relationship for the rest of their lives. Woof.

  7. Hollz says:

Did SHE call it a push present? Or did E!?

  8. Blythe says:

Bought? Let’s not be naïve, now.

  9. SunnyD says:

Looks to me like she just bought a car. I bought a car when I was 8 months pregnant once, but it was because I needed a larger car. I don’t believe my husband was with me either. Some people just buy cars, it’s common around the birth of a child.

That being said I feel for Chyna and that baby being born into a dumpster fire.

  10. Clare says:

No shade for the push present (her money her present, whatever) but from the bits of the show I’ve seen she seems really aggressive and verbally abusive.

Mostly just feel sad for the child t have Rob (with all his issues) as a dad and Chyna (with her issues) as a mum…and Kris as a grandparent who will probably sell that poor child to E! by the time he/she is 6 months old.

  11. Sequinedheart says:

I agree with previous posters here: her life, her choice, whatever.
But from a relationship stand point, it’s a big old mess. I will say that they are not the only family to have babies with business in mind. A friend of mine said while she was pregnant “i’ll be getting it an agent” – I nearly fell off my chair. That’s not why you have a child…
    Different strokes I guess.

    • sunny says:

Are you still friends with this person? They sound awful. Exploitation of children is disgusting and shameful. What good qualities do they have? I’m sorry and am not trying to be mean but I have never encountered anyone like that and wonder about them.

  12. LiterallyaShambles says:

    I’m so confused?
    Are they even together?
I did some shameful IG stalking yesterday and they don’t post anything together unless it’s an ad for their show.
But then Rob posted this side-by-side picture of both of them in their skinnier days, saying stuff like, “I’m ready to lose this pregnancy weight, MOTIVATION, damn Chy looks bomb in that picture,” … etc.
WHAT IS HAPPENING FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I MUST KNOW

    • A says:

I did the exact thing this week. *shame*
Besides the pic you talked about there truly is -nothing- there.

I don’t think they’re together anymore. They probably haven’t been for a few months.

  13. Pandy says:

Yes agree she should be saving some of that dough for the inevitable break up. A Rolls. Guess she’s arrived? What an idiot. Worth measured by material possessions. And that idiot getting trapped by the oldest con in the book.

  14. detritus says:

So my takeaway from this is:

I really want that pink blazer. Now please. And the pink tipped hair.

I don’t like the way Rolls Royces look, would take a Civic over that (I am a car plebe).

I like one person out of Rob and Chyna.

    • Betsy says:

Is that plebeian, or is that just good sense? $400K where I live is a nice starter house further out or a heckuva good down payment. And come on, a Civic is basically forever.

  15. JA says:

May sound cheesy but if I ever give birth to a child, the fact that it’s perfectly healthy and well will be enough of a gift for me. Now some nice mother’s day jewelry from the father/future hubby will gladly be accepted! ;-) But yea her money, her choice…however tacky and obnoxious. A fool and their money…

  16. Dominique says:

Looking at her scares me. It’s like a living doll or mannequin. And the claw fingernails are grotesque. (same goes for 3 out of the 5 Kardashians)

  17. Green Is Good says:

She’ll have another mouth to feed, so she spends that much money on a “status symbol” car. Good luck when she winds up living in it.

    • Ayra. says:

Her businesses are doing well, the magazine covers, the show, her appearances… King seems to be happy. I’d say she’s fine money wise.

  18. NeoCleo says:

I hate the term, it’s gross. The thought however, is nice.

  19. CoKatie says:

Where do these people get the money for all this unnecessary craziness? Kylie, Rob (I was gonna say Tyga, but, well, we know how that went), now Chyna? Do they really have that much or is this more of the Scott Disick leasing company thang?

  20. Minina says:

What’s with all the shade about Chyna needing the money when they break up?

She is financially independent, Tyga helps pay for the nanny and that’s it.

Does anyone believe that Rob is paying for anything??? Of course not. His expenses are covered and he might’ve bought some baby stuff and the house with his moms help, but no ones keeping that house except Kris Jenner at the end of the day.

Chyna was already living in the same neighborhood as the Kardashians, and while the baby may let her soar to new heights financially, that is not at all dependent on whether her and Rob stay together.

She will be fine. I’m more worried about how Rob is going to take all this.

    • Erica_V says:

Agreed – out of the two of them she is the one with multiple successful businesses and partnership deals, not him. She’ll be fine. I worry more for him and his mental state.

  21. Snerdly says:

    Where did she get $400K?

  22. Ivy says:

She has literally no career. Her show doesn’t pay that much so how can she possibly afford this. Oh man her and tyga are made for each other

    • Bridget says:

She has WAY more hustle than Rob, and has been doing stuff for years. You don’t have to like her, but she does have a career of her own, more than Rob.

      • Cherrypie says:

Oh you mean stripping back in the days or the ‘club appearances ‘ she does?

I doubt the clothing store and salon can pay for this 400k car :)

Yes rob may not have a big career like Kylie or Kim but China definitely benefited a lot from dating/having a baby with him!

She knew what she was doing when she hooked up with him!

  23. deevia says:

When I hear “push present”, I imagine doing #2 when you are in dire need of fiber in your diet.

  24. BTownGirl says:

Listen, I’m all for “her money, her choice”, but when your career is based on something as ephemeral as reality fame (and if she’s done other things, please correct me, because I’m not all that familiar with her!), you really need to think about what comes next for you and your child. Want a fancy car? I’m all for it, but maybe go for the $100,000/$200,000 car instead of the $400,000 one and put the balance in a high-yield account for your child’s education or put it in trust for him/her. In the entertainment world, no matter how well the money is invested, at some point it’s going to stop coming in and that’s the day you need to plan for, in my opinion.

  25. Bridget says:

I find it unnerving to see her, just because 2 high profile women have stolen her look so thoroughly that it seems odd to see it on Blac Chyna’s face. Amanda Bynes famously emulated Chyna’s look while she was mid-breakdown, and of course we see shades of it on Kylie Jenner.

  26. My push present was going to In &Out- lol.

  27. Anilehcim says:

I don’t get the issue here. I buy myself expensive things all the time. I’m more likely to buy myself something “lavish” then to ask for it, or even accept it, as a gift. I consider this to be part of my independence, and I highly value my college education that’s the reason I can do that for myself.

    I say good for her!

  28. Princess says:

I’ve never heard of a push present…..I had 4 boys and still waiting for a baby shower for any one of them!L!! But if I got it flaunt it, she wanted a push present and didn’t want to depend on Rob bcuz he’s so reliable, so she got her own! I’d do the same just like I’ve been doing all my birthday valentines n Christmas shopping!!! Id love to get a Royce for having a baby….shit I’d have a 🏯house, Lamborghini, 💍Royce, 👑& a yacht ⛴🚢for my 4 boys!!!!!! Lol.💎💳💰👄💅🏼🚁✈️ Kinda jealous!!!

  29. AuntSass says:

I like her hair. How does she have money? What does she do? I know zero about her.
