Trump flyer has photos of Rosie O’Donnell and Eva Longoria as supporters

wenn29653763
Many of us are relieved that it looks statistically impossible that Trump will win and yet horrified that he’s made it so far. One thing some Trump supporters have claimed is in his favor is the fact that he supposedly has decent, or at least sane-ish people around him who know what they’re doing and will help support traditional Republican values even if he has absolutely no clue what he’s doing besides hating minorities, immigrants, women and Hillary. The fact that no one has been able to rein him shows that’s probably not the case, or if those people are around he’s not going to accept their help. Plus last month many of his advisors and staffers quit when he failed to pay them. (Which is no surprise given his history.) So here’s a funny little anecdote that illustrates what a sh-tstorm it must be behind the scenes at the Trump campaign – the Trump campaign in Ohio put out a mailer featuring Rosie O’Donnell and Eva Longoria, both Hillary supporters and longterm Democrats.

In fact Trump personally insulted O’Donnell, yet again, during the first debate, stating she’s “been very vicious to me… I said very tough things to her, and I think everybody would agree that she deserves it and nobody feels sorry for her.” I guess whoever made this flyer and whoever reviewed this flyer either can’t recognize Rosie or didn’t actually listen to Trum during the debate. Of course Eva Longoria doesn’t support Trump either, and she’s campaigned for Hillary and spoke out at the DNC against Trump’s rhetoric about the Hispanic community. Here’s the flyer.

TrumpFlyer

What’s more is that the flyer labeled a Sikh man, in the upper left hand corner, a Muslim.

In response to this flyer, the Trump campaign spokeswoman, Hope Hicks, told Huffington PostOur campaign does not recognize this collateral.” Of course they wouldn’t lie about that, because Trump and his people would never tell baldfaced lies, right?

Last week, Scientologist Kirstie Alley withdrew her support from Trump after he tweeted an ad with her as a supposed supporter following the release of the Trump Tapes. I really don’t care who she supports but it’s telling that even diehard cult members can recognize how horrible Trump is.

  1. Did they change their minds when he said, “No one respects women more than I do.”? It was a convincing sell, eh?

  2. Melly says:

Another day, another gross trump story. I can’t wait to vote.

    • Who ARE These People? says:

      vote early if you can!

      • Esmom says:

One more week for me until early voting starts. I feel like I’ve been waiting for this for so long!

      • Meredith says:

I voted early in Illinois about two weeks ago and it was so easy! In 2012 I had to wait about an hour at my polling place and that wasn’t even that contentious of a presidential election, so I don’t even know how long the wait is going to be this year. I didn’t even have to wait in line at the early voting place. So I agree, vote early if you can!

      • @who THANK YOU for the deep dive material!! I read up all night about the various personalities with each party, the psychology of each party, more about the independant mindset and all of that thanks to you! It was very very interesting to read about and rang true for so much!

      • Lindsay says:

What was it? I’d be interested in reading the deep dive stuff. Thanks ;)

      • Lorelai says:

This is the LONGEST. Campaign season. Ever.

      • Who ARE These People? says:

Ohmigoodness, thank you for doing that NOTDonaldsDarling…and getting back to us. I couldn’t get back till now but if anyone’s interested, I think that is referring to psychological research on authoritarian personalities and their political behavior.

Authoritarian personalities are more rigid in their thinking, which could explain the “party discipline” of the Republicans and the difficulty many Trump supporters have in changing their minds (by, as many of us would think, contemplating the evidence).

Non-authoritarian personalities are more flexible in their thinking, which is what makes the Democratic party often filled with in-fighting and fractious. Bigger tent.

The USA is thought to up to 50% of the population with authoritarian personalities, Canada around 30% (a number that aligns with baseline support of its Conservative movement). I don’t know what these researchers have to say about the dramatically changing demographics in the USA and whether this will change the ratio … it seems to have been pretty constant.

    • isabelle says:

In Oregon and we have all mail in ballots, which is the best voting system ever! So get to vote in a few days.

  3. LiterallyaShambles says:

“it’s telling that even diehard cult members can recognize how horrible Trump is.”

Funny you should mention that. I just read an article on how the Trump campaign has become a cult, and it rings 100% true.

Also if you don’t follow Eva Longoria on Snapchat, you should. Her account is amazing. She’s been registering voters and rallying “Latinas for Hillary,” so the fact that she’d be on that flyer is laughable.

    • I’ve been wondering what state you’re in? Or part of country?

    • SusanneToo says:

      It reminds me of Jonestown.

      • boredblond says:

Only trump will charge his believers for the kool-aid..and deduct the cost from his taxes…

      • Nancy says:

SusanneToo: Wow. You’re right. But remember the fate of Jim Jones followers……from all the fanatical comments and actions of some of Trump’s supporters, I can really see them drinking the Kool-Aid. This is worrisome and frightening…but then again everything about him is..

    • doofus says:

that entire flyer is a sh*tshow…talk about “amateur”.

I mean, it looks like it was put together in the most basic of “compile your photos!” program.

      • Lorelai says:

It’s so bad it’s comical. I am terrible with Photoshop – I can barely figure out how to change the margins in Word, FFS! – yet I could cobble together a better campaign flyer than this nonsense.

      • SusanneToo says:

What professional would work on it as it’s well known trump doesn’t pay for the work done for him.

      • Who ARE These People? says:

Well he did say his 10-year-old son was really good with the computer…

      • Anna says:

It looks like a collage done by hand!! lol it’s hilarious that they put Trump’s family as supporters on there, especially when at the debate when Trump tried to hug Tiffany she avoided being touched by him haha

And they put Shaq on there. I doubt he supports Trump

    • TheOtherMaria says:

Eva is actually from my hometown, anyone who follows her knows or politics for that matter, knows she’s far from republican.

I admire her advancement in the acknowledgment of Latino issues as well!

  4. Patricia says:

The woman holding the “Hispanics for Trump” sign makes me want to weep. Why? Why????
Guys seriously though, what are the chances this cheeto-satan hybrid will win? And what are the chances his idiot minions will turn violent when/if he loses? I’m just so nervous all the time. Celebitchy commentors give me hope for humanity, because every news comment section makes me want to crawl into a hole. They are overridden with anger, racism, misogyny, and absolutely wild conspiracy theories.

    • embertine says:

Patricia, I don’t know if it helps but there were a number of ads posted by the Trump campaign looking for black and Hispanic actors prepared to pretend to be Trump supporters. I mean, it’s still kind of bad that anyone would but at least it highlights the campaign’s desperation.

    • Stacey says:

At a Trump rally a couple of days ago a white woman was holding a “Blacks 4 Trump” sign. So I wouldn’t be surprised if the Trump campaign is printing these out and passing them out to his supporters to hold.

      • doofus says:

that sign gave me one of the biggest WTF moments…

as if black people refer to themselves as “the blacks” like Drumpf does? ugh, I’m surprised it didn’t say “Negroes for Trump”…SMDH.

      • embertine says:

Yeah, ‘negroes’ spelt with two g’s… *shudders* Every time I hear a new story about Trump and think it must be an Onion headline, it turns out to be true, so it wouldn’t surprise me.

      • Lorelai says:

That caught my eye, too. “Blacks?” Really?!

      • Saks says:

They are not even trying, like the misspelled “Latinos para Trump” (should be something like “latinos con Trump”) during the GOP convention was also carried by whites.

    • Lorelai says:

@Patricia that is my worst fear too. Not that he will win, because I no longer believe he has a chance.

It is what his angry, racist, irrational mob of (armed, in many cases) supporters will do when he loses. And on Election Day, as well. I’m terrified.

    • Saks says:

I know a couple of people in Mexico that want him to win… I just can’t….

    • Shark Bait says:

The Boston globe article someone posted yesterday was pretty scary. People saying they were ready to start a coup if necessary. Let’s hope they are just cowards with big mouths.

    • Ennie says:

I have a few relativesin the US who are voting for Trump… the funny thing is that they assilated well into the culture, one of them, an older woman now, even rejected her very Mexican name and changed it for a more Americanized one. I have even bumped into their posts on FB calling Hillary names, shameful. The worst thing is that she was calling Michelle Obama all sorts of horrible names on FB these years. I unfollowed her for my mental health, so I did not need to see her postings.
How can you be an immigrant, a mixture, even if you look fairer, and call names to people trying to demean what they ARE based on the color of their skin, nose, etc?
These relative are not short nor dark so it was easier for them to monetize, but they were lucky, we also have Native blood, they would’ve had a hard time mi fling with racists as they like to. One of them is hard core evangelist… maybe sanity is kind of absent in our genes… ;)

  5. Rapunzel says:

The Sikh man labeled Muslim is so indicative of how ridiculously awful Trump’s rhetoric is. It can’t even properly identify the group it wants to deport. I guess everyone with a turban has to go?

And lol at Tom Brady’s inclusion considering how he refused to discuss Trump in that last press conference.

Plus, what’s up with including Trump’s wife/family? It’s not some big deal that they support him. Of course they do!

    • Tris says:

I thought that (“Muslim”) was the worst thing about the poster, too. Scary shit.

    • Kitten says:

Seriously. Leave TB12 out of it.

    • woodstock_schulz says:

Yeah, that part scared me. I was raised Sikh but am now Hindu, and it’s frightening that there are people in 2016 who don’t know the differences. Further, just because someone is not white and/or wears a turban doesn’t equal terrorist!!

    • isabelle says:

It also shows how dumb they are because they simply aren’t educated beyond the news or crazy blogs they watch.

  6. swak says:

Can he be sued for using images without permission? Anyone want to weigh in on this?

    • lucy2 says:

I would hope so, and if I were them I’d try even if it went nowhere, only to have the story out there that they refused to accept it.

    • Fl girl says:

I wouldn’t just sue him for using my image without my permission but also for defamation of character and libel.

    • Lindsay says:

Fl Girl – The majority of the pictures were taken at a Trump event. They don’t identify the people or location. The term supporters is vauge and if you showed up to a public rally it is a reasonable assumption on the part of the photographer and the people who viewed it at that moment in time you were a Trump supporter so it really wouldn’t gain traction. The photo was taken legally and the photographer or their employer own the rights to license it. So avoid attending rallies and holding signs unless your are 100% sure.

  7. B n A fn says:

I wish the election could be tomorrow, Tuesday, so I could just go out and vote Democrats straight down. I’m so sick of listening to this cry baby man, he bitches about everything even SNL skits, imo they were very funny. I can not imaging how anyone could vote for this incompetent man baby.

    • Who ARE These People? says:

If you can vote early, do so! They can’t mess as much with that.

      • B n A fn says:

I wish I could vote early. My state does not have early voting.

      • Stacey says:

I wish my state had early voting! I have a cousin who lives in Oregon and they have mail-in votes and they get their ballots three weeks before Election Day. She is probably getting her ballot any day now.

      • CL says:

I live in Georgia. Early voting started today at 7. I voted at 8:30. So glad to have that over with!

If only I could avoid all news of the election until it’s over and a winner has been declared!

    • Annie says:

I wish it was, too. It is becoming pure agony to see what he complains and whines about on any given day. We have early voting in my state and my husband and I have cast our ballots for Hillary, already. I must say, it felt good. I am imploring the Gods she wins because we are in for a world of hurt if he does.

    • lucy2 says:

I voted a few weeks ago, and I voted straight Democrat. I don’t know if I’ve ever done that before, I always vote Dem nationally but I’m in a pretty red county in a blue state, and our local officials are generally moderate Republicans so I’ve occasionally voted for some of them. My Congressman is a Republican (fairly moderate and a nice guy, I actually know him) but he did not disavow Trump, and so I couldn’t vote for him.

I definitely agree with voting early if you can, and if you are worried about “poll watchers” (aka racist Trump thugs looking to intimidate anyone who doesn’t look like them) look into absentee voting if you can. Just make sure you vote!

    • Kelly Craig says:

Early voting started in Indiana last week. I voted on Friday.

    • Lindsay says:

I don’t know. It is going to be crybaby hell if and when he loses. I fear we are going to sorely miss the “hanging chads” in the halcyon days of Bush v Gore. Just like we miss our innocence when “binders full of women” was sexist and an inappropriate thing for a presidential candidate to say. Oh, Mittens come back to us with your mom jeans and singing the entirety of “My Country Tis of Thee” even though you can sing and most people don’t know that song has a third verse much less know the words. Also, thanks for choosing that song over butchering the Star Spangled Banner.

At least we can take Halcion if this lunitic wins. It will be a national prescription. Maybe this whole thing is a ploy by big pharma to sell benzodiazepines and antacid.

      • Esmom says:

Lol. I was just telling some friends last week that you know it’s a surreal election cycle when you find yourself longing for Mitt Romney.

    • Erica_V says:

He is now bitching about his #1 supporter Fox News putting out a “hit job” on him by showing he’s losing int he polls.

  8. Christin says:

I am more convinced than ever that the silver lining in this (blank) storm is that we have the chance to see where people around us stand at this point. It’s very revealing.

  9. Kitten says:

My friend and I just happened to be in Portsmouth this Saturday for a day trip and guess who just happened to be in town?
    Yup.
Driving into Hampton, there was a giant Trump sign on a traffic island and someone had spray-painted a red circle and line through it…haha. But yeah, they rolled out ALL the Trump signs for his arrival. The streets were swarming with people wearing red “Make America Great Again” baseball hats. My friend was DYING to talk to some of his supporters, just to ask them what is so appealing to them about Trump. I told him that I didn’t want to engage with any of the crazies so please don’t.

    • lucy2 says:

I saw a huge sign this weekend too, and someone had spray painted a big pile of poop on it. It was awesome.

      • Kitten says:

        LOL That’s amazing.

      • Shark Bait says:

I see big signs all over the place. We went to a pumpkin patch Saturday and passed so many signs. My husband was being silly and gave one a thumbs up (don’t worry he hates Trump) and I flicked it off not realizing the people who lived their were outside their house. I cackled. They were probably calling me a crooked Hillary supporter or whatever they say. I’ve only seen a few vandalized.
My husband was like, what kind of person puts a big ass sign for a candidate in front of their home? I have literally only seen this for republican candidates. Never ever for a democrat. A yard sign or a bumper sticker, but not those huge signs. Oh and we passed a lawn with “Proud Deplorable for Trump” and “Hillary for Prison” signs. I’ve seen a lot of “Hillary for Prison” yard signs. His supporters actually believe that because he has more facebook and twitter followers and that Trump yard signs are more abundant that the polls showing Hillary leading are rigged.

  10. Stacey says:

The campaign did this to Ice-T too. They edited an interview he gave and made it look like he was supporting Trump. They even made flyers with his saying he supported Trump. Ice-T took to his Twitter multiple times and told them he wasn’t voting for Trump. He was pretty pissed off.

  11. Sasha says:

I think I understand what is going on. While Kim K is in recovery we are going to be getting Trump articles instead. I am not sure which is worse.

    • Insomniac says:

Trump articles scare me more. I don’t like Kim, but she’s in no danger of being elected President. And she doesn’t sexually assault people.

      • Lorelai says:

@ Insomniac, HOW SAD is that? This is where we are, now, as a country. Pointing out that at least Kim Kardashian won’t be POTUS. Literally. This is like living in an insane parallel universe!

  12. Lindsay says:

That is one bush league looking flyer! You are running to be the real President and I guarantee you Kid President has made better flyers! I knew he had 0% support from African Americans. I did not realize the he also has 0% of the graphic designer demographic. ;)

Kirstie Alley withdrawing her support at this point says more about her than it does about him. She isn’t your average cult member I doubt she totally buys in, she is not restricted in anyway (no internet, no privacy, she can’t communicate with SPs but unlike other Scientologists she can talk to non-members about things other than recruitment, an education at non-Scientology schools, near slavery, constant mental, physical and emotional abuse, ect) for her there are way more perks than downsides so she stays. Unlike recent celebrity defectors. She is cool with Scientology because it benefits her. She was cool with Trump because there were benefits to her (lower taxes, he is focused on a much bigger, dominate religion). She is selfish and just like the GOP members that just jumped ship doesn’t have the courage of her convictions. This tape wasn’t the proverbial straw that broke the camels back. He has been this person the whole time! However, now that he has less than a 20% chance of winning means there want be any fallout for speaking out.

I would bet the cult is telling people to vote Trump. He is focused on Islam. He loves a good scam, just look at Trump University and the Trump Foundation. He likes to play fast and loose with those pesky labor laws. I would imagine him and David Miscavage would get along great!
    Huge egos
They both show an extreme level of narcissism rooted in insecurity
    They are both paranoid
Both suffer from major martyr complexes
They both have this bizarre delusion that they can save America/mankind from certain doom merely by being them and the fact they are so superior to everyone else despite their lack of qualifications, limited knowledge and understanding of the situation and without anything remotely resembling a plan
The belief the media is hamstringing their efforts as some part of a bizarre conspiracy and there a suppressive people out there whose whole goal is to rig the system so that they can’t succeed
The share a fondness for the gold, gaudy look
Love hanging out with celebrities, no matter how minor or irrelevant
Sincerely believe because of their gargantuan sense of entitlement the rules do not apply to them
Love screwing people over so they don’t have to pay for labor
Love intimidating enemies with frivolous litigation
Neither believe basic human rights are something everyone is intrinsically entitled to and can be taken away because of the color of their skin, their beliefs, being openly critical, along with any other reason their demented minds can conjure up. People who disagree are too weak, too PC, losers
Both seem to think of lying as a hobby they are very devoted too

Trump supporters – A president should not have this many things in common with a notoriously insane, brutal cult leader! But just as Trump said please go vote November 28th! Mark it in your calendar :)

    • mayamae says:

I agree with everything you’ve said, but I think Alley is a true zealot. She left sanity behind a while ago.

    • The Old KC says:

You nailed it, Lindsay – I commented below that while reading “Going Clear” (which details a whooole long history of L. Ron Hubbard’s early years spent founding the religion), I could not believe all the similarities between L. Ron Hubbard and Donald Trump. This list is on point. Miscavige is following right in L. Ron Hubbard’s maniacal footsteps and these similarities are probably just the tip of the iceberg.

  13. Margo S. says:

I’m now just laughing at everything involving trump and this election. It’s actually hilarious. He’s so insane and crazy. I hope he doesn’t stalked Hilary again during the final debate. She should have body guards haha.

  14. eggy weggs says:

Hasn’t Kirstie Alley, in the past, made some terrible comments about feminists? I’m surprised she withdrew her support.

  15. MC2 says:

    But what about Shaq?!

  16. Eric says:

As far as Shaquille and Tom Brady, they are probably registered Republicans so by proxy Trump can use their images for advertisements due to Trump running as a Republican (even though he is running for alt-right).

    • Lightpurple says:

Brady has now stated multiple times, including as recently as this morning, that he is not going to talk about Trump’s campaign. He has said Trump is friendly to him but so was/is John Kerry and Brady is very close with the Shriver family. He does not endorse political candidates.

      • Shark Bait says:

If he denounced Trump in any way he’d get backlash from the crazy deplorables. If he supports Trump, whatever, he knows he would get heat for that too.

      • Erica_V says:

Robert Kraft will prob never allow him to speak about personal political beliefs during Patriots related events. The same way you don’t hear a single Pats player talk about BLM, etc. Bill & Mr. Kraft run a Football > Everything style locker room. When you arrive there it’s not about you, it’s not about what you think or who you are off the field. Anything that could be a distraction from your ability to win is not tolerated.

But IMO I’d love to hear Tom say F–k Trump. The hat in his locker picture made me so upset.

  17. Nancy says:

He is a sociopath in the true sense of the word. It’s undeniable. I still get anxious even when I hear it’s statistically impossible for him to win. He will say the election was rigged, as he does everything else he loses, since that is one of the traits of a path….they refuse to admit defeat. They have no empathy and no capacity for love. He is textbook…..I fear him, I loathe him and will be so happy when the election is over. Alec Baldwin retweeted his tweet saying how horrible SNL was and how bad Alec’s impression was…..lol, of course he was on the show before. So many books will be written on this person, he’s just undeniably corrupt and pathetic.

  18. tmot says:

Arpaio is dreadful. No surprise to see him on there.

  19. Susan says:

“Collateral”? What word did Hope Hicks think she was using here? Because that does not mean what she thinks it means, i.e. campaign literature.

    • Lorelai says:

I thought that was a very odd word choice as well.

But I guess we shouldn’t be shocked that his employees aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed…

    • DetRiotGirl says:

Marketing professional here. I hate to say this, but that actually is an acceptable word for flyers in the marketing community.

That said, Hope Hicks is still an idiot and Trump remains a turd.

  20. Guesto says:

Any chance all future Trump posts can feature a kitten or, at the very least, one of those ‘modesty’ bars over his face so we’re spared his physical grotesqueness?

    • Lorelai says:

Oh my god, I laughed so hard at the “modesty bar” comment! I would be on board with that. If I never have to see a photo of this beast again, it will be too soon 😒

  21. Bread and Circuses says:

Thanks for pointing out the error with the Sikh man, because my gosh, that was the FIRST thing to pounce on my eyeballs when I looked at that image. “Er, but he’s not a Muslim…”

  22. The Old KC says:

Re: Scientology, I *just* finished reading Going Clear last week (I barely put it down), and the whole time I was reading it I found myself thinking that L. Ron Hubbard and Donald Trump could be psychological twins.

  23. JRenee says:

There was a picture of a White woman holding a Blacks for Trump sign circulating the internet…

  24. serena says:

    He disgusts me.

  25. Desi says:

Great job trump team listing A Sikh as a Muslim in the poster. (On the top left corner).
Trump need to get some lessons from fourt graders before dreaming about becoming president.
