Charlie Sheen’s kids ‘don’t want to be alone with him,’ Denise protects them

Yesterday we reported on some disturbing details in Denise Richards’s lawsuit against Charlie Sheen. Denise is seeking that Charlie either return the $7 million into a trust he raided for his daughters or give her $1.2 million to put down on a house. Charlie made that $7 million by evicting Denise from a mansion he purchased for her down the street from his house. He convinced her to move in with a sob story about rebuilding a relationship with his daughters after he learned he had HIV, only to harass and emotionally abuse her and the girls.

The lawsuit described troubling incidents in which Charlie called his youngest daughter, Lola, then nine, awful names, and threatened to kill her and Denise. Denise hired private security for protection following Charlie’s threats. Page Six has some insider quotes from Denise and Charlie’s side, and Denise’s sounds sane and concerned for her girls, of course, while Charlie’s people are defensive and question Denise’s motives. This is their only move, and given how stoic Denise has been for years it’s a lousy one.

“It’s volatile,” said a source, adding of Sheen and Richards’ children, “They’re afraid. They obviously love their dad, but they don’t feel comfortable. Stuff like that doesn’t go away overnight. They don’t want to be alone with him.”

But a pal of Sheen’s told us: “It becomes difficult because the kids want to see their dad. He wants to see them, but she doesn’t allow it unless she’s present.” The source added that Sheen was texting Richards when he sent his daughter the profane note. “[Denise] was using the kid’s phone texting Charlie and they got into a disagreement. He talks and texts with them every day.”

A Richards source countered, “Anyone with half a brain knows he’s texting his daughters,” and said Richards has “screenshots.” As far as her keeping him from the kids, “If that was the case, why would she move down the street from him? His priority was smoking crack and hookers. When you’re in that state, your kids are the furthest thing from your mind,” the friend of Richards said.

Richards’ suit isn’t helping the relationship.

“The guy has written checks. It’s not like he’s working now,” a Sheen source said. “Now would be the time to say, ‘What can I do to help you? I know times are tough.’ When he’s working, he’s the most generous person in the world.”

But a different source said of the situation: “She’s never extorted him and always forgives him. He lashes out because he can do that to her. There are very few people in his life who won’t extort him and he holds that over her head.”

[From Page Six]

The Sheen source is telling Denise to ask “how can I help you?” and complaining about Denise, when she’s still letting him text the girls and see them as long as she’s there. That’s WAY more generous than Charlie deserves. He threatened to kill them! He should have court supervised visitation at the very least, but Denise has worked with him for years and it’s only harmed her and her daughters. I’m in no way criticizing her, she tried her best to give Charlie a relationship with his girls, was pushed into a corner and is now doing what she has to do.

    Team Denise and the girls.

    • Josefina says:

Not trying to say this as a read, but could anyone even be Team Charlie?

      • swak says:

Apparently yes as he has “sources” going to the tabs to get out the “poor me” story for him.

      • Christin says:

He’ll likely have ‘friends’ and ‘sources’ (supporters) until the money runs out.

      • lisa says:

someone i met not that long ago (a female) said all these women were lying gold diggers and that charlie is a good guy

    • robynsing says:

It’s hard to understand now why Denise still has Charlie in her girls’ lives. I am the number one advocate of both parents always being a part of childrens’ lives after divorce. And she has done the right thing, but based on her own court filings, she should have given up and stopped facilitating his visitation. She should have let the court sort it out years ago. His depravity goes beyond anything acceptable. He holds her strings like a puppet-master and she allows this for money? She has already collected $20MIL. That’s enough for her children. WALK AWAY. Move far away from this dangerous, potentially lethal, evil man. It’s hard to believe that anyone could even spend one redeeming moment with this cretin.

      • GingerNYC says:

Yes but there is a court ordered custody agreement in place, Denise could not just take the girls away from him or she could be charged with kidnapping and lose custody completely.

      • K says:

Legally she has no choice. She would have to go to court to have him removed from their lives which I think she has done as much as she can in California. I don’t know if it’s true but I’ve read they have very strict co parent laws.

    • AntiBeiber says:

      +1000000

    • Greenieweenie says:

She’s gotten so thin in recent years and always has this stressed look on her face. You knew something was brewing even if she didn’t talk about it. For all that time, she was willing to say positive or neutral things about him in the press even when he was publicly going off the rails–it seems she had a lot of sympathy for his diagnosis. Poor poor woman. Meet a guy when he’s sober and have kids. Then deal with a lifetime tied to a raging drug addict/abuser who won’t treat his obvious mental illness and physical addictions.

PS-Am I imagining things, or did she not adopt a baby named….gosh, something with an A or an E in recent years? Off to Google because I swear this was a story. I mentioned this downthread, but I think she wanted a big family and was close to her dad and those things have maybe made her keep Charlie more present in her kids’ lives than he should’ve been. I think she needs to cut her losses and go no contact.

  2. Birdix says:

When does he get crazy enough that someone steps in and starts making decision for him?

  3. Keaton says:

Ugh I didn’t think it was possible but it seems like he’s gotten worse and worse.

Denise is a freakin’ saint. He has no clue how lucky he is.

    • BearcatLawyer says:

Sadly, I think Denise is a saint because she has no choice. She cannot go HAM in the media or in court because Charlie has way more money and (perceived) power in the business. She must pick her battles and always play the long game, which she has thus far done quite admirably. Even in this case, she is not suing Charlie over custody or support; she is suing him for violating the terms of the trust set up for their daughters as well as promises he made to them. In effect, she is saying this is not about money he owes her – it is about what he owes to their children. The threats and other examples of bad behaviour are evidence of his instability and utter inability to be trusted to manage money for/take proper care of the children, as well as explanations as to why he decided to manipulate them and their trust fund solely for his own benefit.

The only good news I can offer to Denise is that she is doing all the right things. Children are not stupid. They see everything and have long memories. Her daughters know she has their best interests at heart and will always be there for them, unlike their POS dad.

Moral of this story: be careful whom you marry. While I doubt Denise has any regrets about her two daughters, I bet she rues the day she agreed to reproduce with Charlie.

      • Josefina says:

I just don’t understand how this guy can still be so “powerful” and rich. Does he come from a rich family or something? Because his acting career wasn’t all of that, and we all know about his spending habits.

      • Erinn says:

        Josefina –
His dad is Martin Sheen who’s had a decent career, and his brother is the coach from the Might Ducks movies – sot it’s the family biz, I guess.

He was earning something like 1.8mill per episode of Two and a Half Men for a while there, so he made some serious bank.

      • Snowflake says:

        @ Josefina
Yes he does. His dad is Martin sheen.

      • Ripley says:

@Erinn… Do you know if the girls have interaction with Martin Sheen or Emilio Estavez? At the end of the day, they’re their grandfather and uncle. Not that you would have any way of knowing, just curious.

      • Bridget says:

@Bearcat: I agree. Does anyone remember when she and Charlie first split, how she got dragged in the media? Not to mention the beating she took during the Richie Sambora years. I can understand why she doesn’t want to put herself out there, and even if the guy is an insane abuser this is still the father of her daughters and she probably still wants to give them the last shreds of shelter she can.

      • Josefina says:

        @Erinn
As if I couldn’t possibly hate this guy more, he gets away with all this shit because of HIS FAMILY’S success, not even his own. Gross.

And 1.8 mil?!!?! Was Two and a Half Men really that succesful?!

      • supposedtobeworking says:

@Josefina, to be honest, he did have a great career before this crazy showed up. His dad is a well-respected actor in hollywood, and his brother has had some success too, but Charlie had some amazing parts in well acclaimed movies, too. He was in Major League, Apocalypse Now, Wall Street, Platoon to name a few. He was a very good actor.

      • Tammy White says:

Until he went off the rails…he made a fortune & was smart with his money. But as his addiction progressed, so did the erratic behavior & spending.

      • MC2 says:

I agree that she doesn’t have much choices but the woman is a saint! She took in his twins with that train wreck Brooke. She had a choice in that and did it anyway- even though the kids were out of control & she couldn’t even get them the help they needed. I was no Denise fan before all this but that woman has earned her keys into the pearly gates for sure. At least she won’t have to deal with Charlie then anymore- he will be somewhere else.

  4. Nancy says:

I think enough ink has been wasted on this sociopath and we’ve pretty much said it all. Next….

  5. Christin says:

The public has seen how he talks and tweets nonsense, but I am truly puzzled as to why she did not go to the authorities over the threats. I would not take that lightly, ever.

    • Astrid says:

Having been in a similar situation, it’s hard to get authorities to “do something”. About all you can ask for is a personal protection order. Unless Charlie is caught in the act by police or a judge, nothing happens. My ex did the same sort of thing – vile texts and emails including death threats to young kids. Apparently, speech is free.

    • Jwoolman says:

He’s possibly bouncing back and forth between insanity and lucidity. So maybe most of the time sane Charlie comes to visit. Well, partially sane Charlie. If he were really lucid, she wouldn’t have to go to court. Denise remembers how he was when they married, while he was still sober and behaved quite differently. She really can’t just block him unilaterally anyway. Charlie doesn’t like having adult supervision, but it’s the only way he can safely see his daughters. They really should videotape him when he goes off the wall and show him the tape in more lucid moments.

    • swak says:

Agree totally with Astrid. Unless he physically harms them, I doubt if anything will be done. This happens all the time. And while she can get a order of protection, if Charlie wants to do something, he will. Denise is smart and is most likely listening to her lawyer(s) and playing the long game. Charlie’s “source” is hurting more than helping. Don’t care how generouse Charlie is when working, he needs to pay what is due, working or not. n Also, she HAS helped him when he has been down. She took in his twin sons when needed.

      • missy says:

And he is a sociopath who has never lost… SHe is doing what she has to do to be safe. Of course he wouldn’t do anything himself he would have one of his minions do it… ugh

    • Christin says:

One part I didn’t understand from yesterday’s post involved Denise talking to Charlie’s security and telling them to keep him in check. Maybe that worked, but they are on his payroll, not hers.

One good move was getting her own security team. That suggests she does take his lunacy and potential danger seriously.

      • kri says:

Well, if he gets out of check, his security team would be out of employment…they probably carry bricks of coke to lure him out of dangerous situations.

      • Christin says:

I was also curious as to how they keep him in check in the first place. ‘Blow and broads’ probably go a long way!

  6. serena says:

He shouldn’t even be allowed to be with their children, even in Denise’s presence! This man and his attorney are the worst, seriously. ‘How can I help you?’ are you f- joking?? She did more than help while he did nothing but bash her. Times are taugh. They sure are, because you are a selfish moron.
Pretty sure their daughters are afraid of him. So he can’t see the kids if Denise is present? Wtf is up with that?
God, he makes me so mad.

    • K2 says:

Yeah, I think pouting over her “unhelpfulness” when she took in his unbelievably disturbed, violent toddler sons, when their mom was in rehab for the fifty billionth time, and Denise refused a cent from him for their care – when he offered to double the child support – just so the courts could be sure her motives were good… how in hell has he the nerve?

  7. Pinky says:

He has to pay child support whether he’s allowed to see the kids or not. He’s actually the one doing the extorting here!

He has never been allowed to be alone with the girls and that will never change. I do not question Denise’s judgment in regards to protecting her kids. On the flip side, I question Charlie’s judgment in everything.

    -TheRealPinky

    • Tourmaline says:

ITA—child support has nothing to do with seeing the kids. I daresay that he has probably NEVER been alone with the girls since Denise split with him over 10 years ago.

I’m dismayed that his tactics of portraying Denise as money grubbing appear to be working for some on this site. So many are saying Denise should give up and move away from the state. That is a very Team Charlie sentiment, in my book.

God knows he provides nothing in the way of support or parenting for these children other than financially.

      • Wonderbunny says:

She also seems to still be a working actress, so she’s also clearly supporting herself. Checked her IMDB page and she’s worked on TV movies and series. She seems to be taking care of her children and spends time with them, isn’t whining about anything and has really been rather graceful and quiet about private things. She’s essentially doing everything right, so I can’t understand how anyone would think badly of her. I have a feeling that some people judge her because of her looks.

I like it that she is who she is and doesn’t pretend to be anything more or less.

      • K2 says:

Yeah, I thought that. Why should she leave her home of decades? And why shouldn’t she get the money to which she is legally entitled? She’s done and is doing absolutely nothing wrong, so why should she meekly accept no financial provision, and leave her own home, friends, workplace and support system?

    • Kitten says:

      What Pinky said.

  8. the_blonde_one says:

This isn’t a guy that makes minimum wage. Acting like his bank account is dry when he’s not working is ridiculous.

    • Original Kay says:

Ridiculous and offensive. Times are tough? Who are they trying to kid?!

    • Josefina says:

I’m not saying he’s bankrupt, but how much money did he really make out of acting? He was always sort of a B-list actor. Does he come from a rich family or has another business I don’t know of?

      • swak says:

He made BIG bucks from Two and a Half Men and Anger Management. He and only he lost both those jobs by his behavior.

      • Steph says:

Wasn’t he the highest paid sitcom actor for years with Two And A Half Men? That show was incredibly popular, although I have no idea why.

      • Jaded says:

He’s one of the highest paid TV stars ever – his net worth is somewhere between $130 – 150 million with another couple of hundred million for syndication of Anger Management. Pulling the “it’s not like he’s working now” card is an insult because syndication of both his TV shows will guarantee he lives like a lord for the rest of his life. I don’t like saying stuff like this but in his case I’ll make an exception – let’s hope it’s short.

      • Bridget says:

2.5 Men was the biggest show on TV for quite a while, and not only did Sheen get paid as an actor he was also a producer. When he got booted CBS broke his contract and had to give him a massive payout. And Anger Management got a stupid deal too – it was signed for a 10 year run.

      • Josefina says:

I had no idea that show was that popular. I was always under the impression he was more known for his behavior than his work.

  9. Sure Jan says:

Carlos has the best baby mama ever because as soon as he threaten to kill me and our children I would’ve took him to court to get his parental rights snatched so fast. Bless Denise she’s given him so many chances to do right but he is who he is.

    • funcakes says:

Jan you are so right. He picks the women that covers for him no matter what.

He is so lucky because there are women that would have threatened his ass with the press. I would have my lawyer on speed dial to document every threat he made. I would collect every piece of documentation no matter how minute and archive it.
Trust me by the time a regular woman would have been done with Chuck he would be afraid to sneeze.

      • Jaded says:

Unfortunately it isn’t that easy. When parents divorce rules are put into place as to visitation and access to the children that are very strict and must be adhered to. If Denise had taken him to court, she would have had to fight a dozen lawyers for a very long time as Charlie would have litigated until her money ran out. If she withheld the girls from him it would have been treated as a kidnapping and she would lose custody. Her whole focus is keeping the girls safe and playing as nice as possible with Charlie because he’s a wiley sociopath with a cadre of remorseless lawyers who will stop at nothing to get their paycheque from him. Yet another way women are treated horribly by the judicial system.

      • Bridget says:

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: he chooses vulnerable women as his “romantic” (and I use that VERY loosely) partners. Women he can manipulate and discredit. Denise herself fits that bill, though she turned out to be more than he bargained for, thank goodness.

That money of his buys him a lot of leeway. He has the ability to hire lawyers to bog everything down in paperwork and fight for even the meager amount of parenting rights he has.

      • funcakes says:

Charlie would want to protect his image first. And my point is that Charlie wouldn’t want to have his secrets spilled.

  10. Red32 says:

    “How can I help you?”
Didn’t she already say that when his boys had nowhere to go?

    • Insomniac says:

Yes, and look at how well *that* turned out. Can’t imagine why she isn’t itching to do it all over again.

    • Lady D says:

“How can I help you? First time in my life I ever felt the urge to spit on someone. Ever.

      • Tourmaline says:

How Can I Help You—-Yes, It is the most obnoxious comment ever. Just keep talking, “Charlie sources”.

She’s raising their daughters with nothing in the way of day to day support from him other than checks she has to fight for and be threatened over. Also taking on the care of his troubled little twin sons from his drug buddy baby mama , Brooke Mueller, from time to time. She has been extremely discreet about Charlie. Even in her memoir, she was very careful and circumspect about their disastrous marriage and divorce. This is not a case where she is trying to alienate her kids from their dad.

      • Kitten says:

Yup. If ever there was a time when spitting on someone was justified…

Man, this guy is such effin trash.

  11. funcakes says:

Charlie needed all the money to shut people up. He’s going to need it for all the lawsuits coming.
She should have known not to buy his bullsh@t story about wanting to repair his relationship with the girls because Charlie only look after himself and no one else.

I would have made sure he would never see the kids and pay what’s due on top of it. I would’ve never accepted anything from him no matter what sob story he gave me.

And who’s buying that Charlie only been infected for several years? He only afraid that people from over ten years ago are going to also sue him.
They will go over his medical records in minute detail.

What a sad shell of a human being.

    • vauvert says:

As has been repeatedly explained on the Sheen threads Denise can’t just stop him from seeing the kids. She needs the courts to decide how much access he gets (or not). Blocking his access to the kids otherwise puts her in the kidnapping category. Unfortunately (in this case) the legal system is really strong on ensuring the kids are not alienated from the father. Hopefully her legal team has enough evidence this time around to get a judge to put it in writing that he is only allowed supervised visits, if any. But given his wealth, I sadly doubt it.

      • swak says:

Thanks for stating this one more time. I said this on both threads. She cannot just up and take the kiddos. There is a custody agreement out there and she needs to abide by it. Those who say she should just take the children and go hide don’t understand. I have dealt with this with my oldest grandchild and have seen it with others. I also thought he could only see the children in supervised visits. I think she goes so that she makes sure nothing happens when they are with him..

      • Pinky says:

HE IS ALREADY ONLY ALLOWED SUPERVISED VISITS! That’s not something the courts would have to decide again. That’s been the case from the JUMP.

That’s why he’s acting like a baby–because he wants unsupervised visits with the kids and Denise (and the courts) have repeatedly said no. He blames her because she’s not willing to go to the courts and say everything is A-OK with them being alone with this pedophile. Brooke Mueller, on the other hand, would sell her babies to a Duggar to get cash money to snort, inject, or shove drugs up her bum. So she used to allow Charlie unfettered access to the kids in exchange for meth, etc., until custody was STRIPPED from her too. She’s a disgraceful shell of a human being. Perfect for Charlie.

        -TheRealPinky

    • funcakes says:

Yes, I know she is unable to just stop visitations. Yes, I know she’s unable to just up and run. DUH!!!!!! Thank you for explaining that.
I mean to gather so much evidence against him that the judge would see that he’s unfit to see them.

      • K2 says:

Unfortunately I think the bar for that is almost impossibly high in CA. I mean, look at Brooke Mueller. She got custody returned to her despite the clear past harm and highly probable future harm.

      • Emily C. says:

The bar’s even higher if the parent in question is rich. Rich, white, male, with Hollywood family connections? Add it all up, and the fact that Charlie couldn’t get unsupervised visitation is actually a pleasant surprise. No court is going to cut him out of his kids’ lives, though they should — he’s got too much money and power. Denise and her poor girls are stuck with him until he dies.

  12. lila fowler says:

Denise must be some kind of saint. No way would I let my kids around that psycho. He is mentally disturbed and needs inpatient help.

  13. DavidBowie says:

He’s a piece of human garbage.

  14. Sayrah says:

Reading this makes me want to puke. The Charlie sources can’t honestly believe the crap they’re saying. Yes people.

  15. Canadian Becks says:

I feel like there is something missing:

How is asking for the $7million to be placed back in the girls’ Trust Account in any way equivalent to asking for 1.2 million to be put on a house?

    • swak says:

She probably thinks she has a better chance at getting 1.2 mil over 7 mil. Plus if she puts the house in her name, when she goes to sell it, she gets the profit from it and will put it in the girls trust fund like it should have been to begin with.

  16. NewWester says:

Denise is the stable and responsible parent when it comes to her daughters. But what about the two young boys that Denise took care of? What has happened to them? The reports were that they the boys were troubled and needed therapy. Charlie is a mess, has the mother cleaned up her act?

    • H says:

No, the twins mother, Brooke is back in rehab. She’s as bad as Charlie. Her family has the boys.

    • Jaded says:

I believe the twin boys have fetal alcohol syndrome as she drank and abused drugs during her pregnancy, plus they were exposed to God knows what at home – drugs, hookers, unimaginable horrors – so no wonder they’re completely screwed up. Denise tried to look after them when Brooke was in rehab the last time but they were so violent and uncontrollable that she was afraid they’d injure girls and their pets.

      • Daisy says:

Denise wanted to get the boys the appropriate therapies for their needs, but found she didn’t have the legal authority to do so. It must have been immensely frustrating for her to want to help them and be unable to do so, especially in a situation where early intervention makes such a difference.

      • Bess says:

When I read about the twin boys being violent towards their sisters & pets, all I thought was “here we go again”. If the twins aren’t getting help, they’ll be as violent as their father when they’re grown.

  17. Snowflake says:

Puhlezz this guy has never given a shit about his kids. If he’s done anything nice for them, its either at the encouragement of his family or so he can have them close to him so he can control. I always thought it was b.s. how much praise this guy got for buying them a house and paying support. People acted like he is a good dad. Hes effing rich, big deal. Plus I’m sure the money he gives them depdnds on his mood, how much Denise accommodates him, etc.

This guy is a horrible human being. He’s done so much bad stuff and gotten away with it. I don’t understand how he’s survived this long with all his drug use. He’s messed up so many lives. The world would be a lot better off without him.

    • prissa says:

      Exactly! @SNOWFLAKE
That’s why I found it so funny during the Matt Lauer interview when Charlie had the audacity to say those “unsavory, salt less” people were taking money from his kids. It was such an obvious ploy for sympathy. This guy is a real nasty piece of work.

      • justagirl says:

He knows how to play with words to influence people’s opinions…classic sociopath.

One could say that his accusation of the ‘unsavory, salt less people taking money from the kids’ is classic projection…accusing others of the very evil that lies within himself.

Personally I’m disappointed that someone jacked up his face with fillers etc. If he still looked like he used to, no one would listen to him because his depraved lifestyle showed so clearly on his face.

    • Kitten says:

      Yes to everything you said.

  18. Gardenia says:

I don’t understand how Britney Spears can be put on a psychiatric hold and temporarily lose custody of her kids and be put under conservatorship while this maniac roams free. Isn’t his behavior way more alarming than hers was? Maybe I remember it wrong.

    • Snowflake says:

No you remember it right. I don’t get it either. He has never been held accountable the way anyone else would have been. I guess due to his $$ and family name.

    • H says:

Britney’s dad pushed for that, but it looks like most of Charlie’s family isn’t involved in anything to help Charlie these days except to visit him. Or maybe the Sheens have gone out on a limb so much in the past, they’ve given up now as it seems to me Charlie doesn’t want help, he just wants to clean up his image in the press.

    • Jwoolman says:

Britney refused to send the kids to their father at the appointed time and was acting very erratically while carrying the younger one in her arms. She also apparently scared the hell out of her ordinarily mellow ex in a phone call that precipitated the 911 call. I suspect it was a suicide threat, and distressed irrational parents have a habit of taking the kids out when they kill themselves. She had reached the point where she was a clear danger to herself and others. So the law could force her in for evaluation. Charlie has made verbal threats but hasn’t reached that point yet.

    • AntiBeiber says:

Absolutely hit the nail on the head Gardenia; why are the rules different for the revolting waste of a skin that is Charlie Sheen?

  19. JaneDoesWork says:

Bullies only respond to strength. Denise has the best interest of her daughters in mind, and I’m glad she’s sticking up for them.

  20. Nilber says:

If the lawyer broke the trust isn’t he accountable also? I know that has been something brought up and maybe I’m just confused but I didn’t think that was easy to do. Of course, the lawyer is as slimy as Charlie is so I shouldn’t be surprised.

  21. talia says:

I don’t want to be alone with him either…

  22. FingerBinger says:

Sheen thinks because he writes checks he’s entitled. If he wants to see them then skype. He shouldn’t be in the same room as them. I wouldn’t trust this man around goldfish much less 2 young girls.

  23. Penelope says:

This is sad beyond words. I’d be scared to death for my kids (and my own life) if I were Denise. Charlie is severely mentally ill and capable of anything. RUN!

  24. Angelica says:

Hats off to Denise. I just love her for being such a powerhouse. And “how can I help you?” What? Not to bash exes (my ex and I have a solid, very business-like relationship) but baby mamas don’t HAVE to help their ex husbands. They’re divorced, and she doesn’t have to do a damn thing except properly parent those girls, and she’s doing a fantastic job. Maintaining a good, stable environment for the girls IS helping him and even if they were bffs after the divorce, how dare anyone tell her this is her time to ask how she can help him…
Go, Denise. You’re doing a wonderful job.

  25. lucy2 says:

I keep saying it, but she needs to go back to court with all of this evidence. Get a restraining order, get his visitation taken away, and get the money restored. He should have a lot of residuals and stuff coming in from his shows, can’t the courts garnish those and put them in the trust for the kids, or right to Denise? It wouldn’t be the millions she’s owed, but it would be something.

    His “sources” are disgusting.

  26. Christin says:

It’s difficult to comprehend how much money he has made and likely blown through (pun intended). Yet the source makes him sound as if he’s on the verge of being destitute, presumably because he is no longer receiving that huge sitcom paycheck.

He is still considered the highest paid network prime time actor in history at 1.8M per episode when he melted down 5 years ago and wanted even more (as if he were underpaid).

  27. anne_000 says:

The DM had an article out the other day about Denise selling her house that she owns, which isn’t the one that Charlie sold. I think it’s on the market for $7 million, iirc.

Maybe once it’s sold, she can use that money to buy a house, and if Charlie gives up any money, that can go into the kids’ trust fund.

Better than paying $15k/mo. on rent.

  28. Lisa says:

I believe he gets away with so much due to his taking most, if not all the heat, for the Heidi Fleiss debacle. He never said who frequented her business. I mean, let’s be honest, he isn’t normal by any means. That could also explain his seemingly endless finances. I’m sure his family help, but I can’t believe it is a lot.

    • Emily C. says:

He made $1.8 million per episode of that crappy misogynistic sitcom he was on. He’s hugely loaded, likely richer than the rest of his family combined. Also, sex workers and drugs are not that expensive for someone with his wealth — real estate and weird collections are where the hugely rich tend to lose their money, not partying.

  29. Spike says:

    Great comments as usual :)

Charlie surrended custody to Denise in 2010. He went to court to give temporary custody for the twins.

I sadly know this due to friends and family. Denise could go into court any time to severely limit Charlie’s visitation. Based in events in the past few years she could have him stripped of any contact with the girls. I investigated this and looked up precedents for a family member sadly. She has a preponderance for evidence.

She was hoping he would get his sh*t together for the girls. Just positing based on personal knowledge. Misguided, but for the girls. He’s toast. A judge is is going to view this gravely. Much worse than Kelly Rutherford. He’s dug his own grave.

    • Greenieweenie says:

IIRC from 2 minutes of some reality show or something, she is close with her dad. Maybe she had a bad relationship with her mom. I think those things are hugely influential in your feelings about your spouse/ex. I mean, she must have gone to such great lengths to protect them so that contact with Charlie would even be feasible.

      • Christin says:

Her mother passed away shortly before the reality show. She talked about it on the show. Her father seemed to be a calming influence.

I certainly believe in second chances, but I think Denise has given Charlie more chances than he deserves. He is not like her own father.

  30. AntiBeiber says:

Sheen is a drug-addled menace who believes himself untouchable because of his wealth and fame (infamy). He shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near any of his off-spring. He lost his right to be a parent when he put himself and his disgusting excesses ahead of the welfare of his children. Denise Richards must be exhausted having to deal with the pitiful excuse for a man that is Charlie Sheen. I wish her the strength and fortitude she needs to see this through, and I only hope Mr Sheen’s children manage to survive unscathed having him as a “father”.

    • Christin says:

Someone mentioned upthread (and it bears repeating), be careful with whom you have children. He was a loose cannon years ago. A guy who ‘accidentally’ shoots his girlfriend bears some extra scrutiny.

The kids have my complete sympathy, as they could not choose their parent(s).

      • Baba Ghanoush says:

Kelly Preston picks some good ones. I mean, John Travolta? What does she think of those 3:00AM gym work-outs? And he’s worth$170 million but can’t build his own private gym? She doesn’t care as long as she has the security and status, I guess.
I think she basically confirmed that it wasn’t an accident at some stage.
