Tom Hardy v. Domhnall Gleeson at UK ‘Revenant’ premiere: who would you rather?

We haven’t talked about Tom Hardy since his douche-baby antics came to light just before Christmas. HitFix’s Drew McWeeny sent out a series of tweets about Hardy’s crappy attitude during the junket for The Revenant, then Tom sent a douchetastic open letter to McWeeny, then McWeeny responded by detailing the many, many times Tom has been a total a—hole to journalists, coworkers and studio employees. It was a mess and it really lowered my opinion of Tom. Even though that all went down in prime Oscar-nomination-voting time, Tom still walked away with a surprise Oscar nomination for The Revenant. Because the Academy wanted to reward him and because most Academy members loathe journalists too, I would assume.

Last night, Tom attended the UK premiere of The Revenant. It came just hours after his nomination was announced, and after The Revenant swept up twelve overall nominations. Plus, Mad Max: Fury Road picked up 10 nominations. All in all, a good day to be Tom Hardy. And if all of the douche-baby stuff didn’t go down before Christmas, I would be really into these photos. He is a beautiful man, truly. But I guess I’m just not feeling it anymore. I was also reading this recent interview Tom did with wherein Tom butches it up and talks endlessly about how tough he is. I wasn’t feeling that either. At one time, I would have swooned, but now those quotes just seem cheesy and braggy.

I’m also including some photos of Domhnall Gleeson, also from the London premiere. I love this ginger man and his glorious ginger beard. MOAR DOMHNALL.

  1. Locke Lamora says:

Domhnall of course. He’s much much better looking. And nicer. And funnier. And ginger.
I never understood why people find Tom hot, even phisically, and now that we know what a cock he is I understand it even less.

    • ncboudicca says:

      He’s getting my vote, too.

    • SugarQuill says:

You pretty much took the words out of my mouth. Co-sign everything.

    • frisbee says:

me fourth, (edited that ‘cos I can’t count today) strawberry blonde – sense of humour and slightly nerdily endearing – nuff said.

    • mom2two says:

Agreed. I never understood why people find Hardy hot. Domhnall is way hotter and seems like a much nicer guy.

    • Jellybean says:

He is a good actor and a real credit to his father, who is one of my all time favorite character actors. I always found Hardy unappealing, with his feminine mouth, soft voice and fake working class persona. I can forgive him not liking Journalists and struggling with press tours, but not his reported unprofessional attitude on set and the way he treats his colleagues, many of whom seem to dislike him.

      • cubfan34 says:

        Me seventh.

      • Lurker says:

Jellybean, totally agree. Brendan Gleeson has an ability that not a lot of “showier” actors do. His performances break my heart frequently! I think it’s cause he tends to lean away from strong emotion, you know? Even when he’s sad, he tries to be brave, and I think that is so impressive.

Domhnall has the same thing, and his brother Briain too, I think. You just believe them 100% on screen.

So yeah, HONK for moar Domnhall!

      • Jellybean says:

PS, I like Jeremy Renner who is equally as despised on this site as Hardy, but he is genuinely working class, always reported as thoroughly professional on set and seems to get on very well with everyone he works with. Plus, he doesn’t have the advantage of good looks to earn himself multiple passes. Poor Domnhall will only have to mess up once and it will be over for him, lovely as he seems he just isn’t pretty enough for a second chance. I would give him a second chance of course.

      • Jellybean says:

Lurker, thanks for the heads up on Brain, I will keep an eye out. I love your comments about Domhall’s style of acting, most of the actors I like have that in common, they underplay and show everything in their eyes. I hate scenery chewers with a passion, unless the role genuinely require a pantomime performance.

      • GreenieWeenie says:

whoooooaaaa, had no idea his dad was Brendan Gleeson. I really liked a movie he did a while back, something about the Catholic Church.

Strongly suspect my son will look exactly like Domhnall when he grows up. He came out with this ginger hair, out of nowhere, and it’s just that shade. Like gold in the sun. WHERE DO GINGER CHILDREN COME FROM.

      • Jellybean says:

I don’t know the genetics of red hair, but I do know that when someone is walking down the street and I think Wow! that hair is beautiful! It is nearly always ginger/red. Who wants mousey blond hair like me? Boring!!!

      • Sam says:

Please name a few actors/ directors who didn’t like to work with him. Jessica Chastain, Benedict Cumberbatch , Christian Bale, Joël Edgerton, Sarah Lancashire, Andrew Lincoln, Guy Pearse, Nolan, Alejandro González , o , and Charlotte Riley ;-) to name a few: they all love and respect him. Yes and even Charlize Theron said (although things got very intense at set) she had a great amount of respect for Tom. so stop twisting things around….
But i also like Domhnall. He seems to be a nice lad too!

      • Eggland's worst says:

@GreenieWeenie The movie I think you’re thinking of is Calvary. If it had Chris O’Dowd in it, that’s the one. As for red hair, it is a recessive trait. Both you and the child’s other biological parent have redheads in your family, so the trait is in your dna. Both you and the child’s other biological parent happened to both pass on that dna to your child, giving your child his red hair. It has to be passed on by both parents and you have to have natural redheads somewhere in your family, even if the relatives are generations removed. Sorry if you already knew that, I’m not trying to insult your intelligence. I just honestly couldn’t tell if you were being sarcastic or not. I have been compared to Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory A LOT! I think people are trying to tell me something.

      • Greenieweenie says:

@eggland, haha, I often can’t read people particularly well either. Actually I was being deliberately obtuse, like, GINGER CHILDREN ARE NOT OF THIS PLANET (I really do think that when I see my son’s hair in the sun because it is amazing and how is it real).

After this post I did a Google image search for Domhnall and wow, all the colors in that hair.

      • V4Real says:

@jellybean I like Renner as an actor; he’s ok. We all have said stupid crap before.
But I’m sorry I just don’t find Domhnall the least bit attractive. Hardy may not be the best looking thing but he blows Dom away in looks. I think some people are taken with Domnall’s attractive personality which makes him attractive on the outside. Though I just don’t see it all. I guess that’s why beauty is subjective.

      • Valois says:

V4Real, I would admit that I Domnhall’s character is one of the major reasons for finding him attractive (for me at least). But no, I don’t think Hardy blows him away in looks. Even taking his personality aside, he’s unattractive to me. His tiny eyes, this mouth, the (fake or not) working class thing… incredibly unattractive to me. The only film where I found him a bit more attractive was Wuthering Heights. I guess because of the costume and the hair.

      • V4Real says:

“His tiny eyes, this mouth, the (fake or not) working class thing… incredibly unattractive to me”.

And with all that he still blows The Ginger away in looks. Domhall is just not attractive IMO.

      • Valois says:

I completely disagree with you. I don’t think Domnhall is handsome in a classic way, but he is more attractive than Tom imo. However, that is completely subjective. Different strokes with different folkes. :)

    • Katie says:

D gets my vote every time!

    • Stella says:

They are both nice guys but for me it’s Hardy all the way! He’s an artist pure sang and just stands out. Sorry Kaiser, you’re gossip doesn’t work for me!

    • ell says:

tom isn’t that physically attractive, but the fact he’s excellent in everything he’s in, makes him attractive. to me, at least.

    • jammypants says:

Domhnall is adorable, sweet, and yummy.

    • sarah says:

Um I’ll take BOTH! Haha, I’m surprised to see the Tom-hate. I like Hardy and Gleeson pretty equally, but Gleeson’s unique look does something extra for me, uniqueness is so underrated when considering an actors career longevity, but Hardy’s accent is quite amazing too..
Hopefully this guarantees Domhnall’s INVITATION to the Oscars!! (I’m still not over him not being invited to the Globes)

    • xxx says:

Thank you so much. I would never ever mention the words hot, good looking, charming, sexy, nice, funny etc. and Hardy in the same sentence. Seriously I just do not get it. I also think that he is totally overrated. Playing the “I am not a posh English guy who has attended whatever school” card but he clearly hasn’t lived in poor areas either. Also I can always relate different words to different actors. Hardy = douche….. There you go.

    • MarBear says:

Love Domhnall Gleeson. It is refreshing to see the offspring of an actor who has actually earned acclaim through their own talents unlike some others *Cough* Rumer Willis, Emma Roberts, and Lily Collins *Cough Cough* He seems to have a good head on his shoulders, a charming personality, and a great love for the art of acting. So happy he is getting the recognition he deserves :)

  2. Betti says:

Domnhall all the way. You guys can keep the twatty bloke.

  3. lilacflowers says:

As I said yesterday, I’m hoping that The Bloke punches Leo while Ryan Seacrest is interviewing them before the Oscars.

    • Sixer says:

I saw you said that but I don’t know who Ryan Seacrest is! Splain him to me!

      • Locke Lamora says:

        He’s on E! Ko-Kreated the Kardashians.

      • SugarQuill says:

And Simon Cowell created Ryan Seacrest and unleashed him on the unsuspecting public. Back on your home turf, Sixer. :D

      • frisbee says:

Somebody needs to punch him for being responsible for the Kardashians – and I’ve never even watched it.
Edit – somebody needs to punch Seacrest AND Simon Cowell.

      • Sixer says:

So this is why we would approve of The Bloke hitting Seacrest but disapprove of his hitting anyone else? Gotcha!

Simon Cowell is like the id of Great Britain. In my celebrity zoo, there is a specially darkened room for these types. You have to wear infra red glasses to even spot the exhibits. I’ll put Seacrest in that.

My general hope is that The Bloke makes it through Oscaring with hilarious but non-violent sins of Annoying Celebitches. I don’t like to see anyone punched.

      • Lurker says:

Ryan Seaceast once tried to high five a blind man, and he is responsible for the Kardashians.

That’s all you need to know, I reckon!

      • lilacflowers says:

I’m actually hoping the Bloke hits Leo while Seacrest stands there screaming.

      • frisbee says:

@ Lilac… :D But wouldn’t it be great if he hit Seacrest with Sixer standing there screaming and ready with the ball gags? We really need to have a whip round (pun intended) to get her a special set of super-duper superstar unfriendly silver globes engraved with ‘TH – for use thereof’ – on them to get him into line. I have great faith that Sixer can sort him out.

      • Sixer says:

I have ball gags for The Bloke as well as the Hiddlesburp, you know! And for Idris. All three are lust-worthy. But, and for different reasons, I’m not in the least bit interested in what any of them have to SAY!

      • V4Real says:

What’s with all the Leo hate? This man hasn’t done anything to anybody that I know of. I don’t even think I have ever heard of him badmouthing another actor or being mean to fans.

And yes he dates a lot of young women but you don’t hear him calling women bad names or putting them down. He doesn’t even talk about his personal life.

      • Sixer says:

V4Real – eh? Who is hating Leo? I’m lost. Personally, I’m just messing about with Potential For Outrage celebrity scenarios. Mine generally involve ball gags. I read it as Lilac’s involve Leo and The Bloke having a manly scuffle in front of someone called Ryan Seacrest – who I don’t know but is apparently the demonic progeny of Simon Cowell because Kardashians. Lilac? Are you hating on poor Leo?

    • ell says:

lmao, here’s hoping! i think they like each other though, unfortunately.

  4. GlimmerBunny says:

I still love Tom Hardy, both as an actor and as a sex symbol. I think the Hitflix drama was way over-the-top – and I AM a journalist!

    • Locke Lamora says:

And the hitting-people-he-worked-with and being-late-to-work-every-day, was that over the top too?

    • Laura says:

And what about the fact that he’s assaulted multiple people? Is that sexy to you too?

      • Esther says:

why would it matter if you just hook up with him and leave in the morning?

      • V4Real says:

You can be an ass and still be sexy. He’s a sexy there.

The woman didn’t say she wanted to marry him and produce Hardy babies. She just said she likes him as an actor and he’s a sex symbol.

      • Sea Dragon says:

Esther- because it speaks to his character and possibly the way he would act if one slept with him. My first thought was Yes, of course I’d be with him. I found his younger self much more attractive but I still think he’s extremely appealing. My second thought was No, if he’s a self involved, petty and *aggressive!* asshole in life, he may be an arrogant take-what-he-wants partner in bed. Ugh. No thank you! I’ll stick to Charlie Hunnam, tyvm. ;)

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

It’s sad that you can’t have an opinion without being assaulted by sarcasm. I didn’t know you were a journalist. Cool.

      • Locke Lamora says:

Jesus, it’s gossip site. A little snark never hurt no one.

I personally can’t find someone phisically hot if I don’t like their personality, not even for “one nigt”.

      • GlimmerBunny says:

GNAT: Yeah, I’m a journalist. Or I’ve done my degree in it anyways :) I now work for a Content Marketing Agency as a Content Producer (but I still write movie reviews in a magazine for fun).

And to the rest of you: That’s only rumours. I haven’t met Tom personally and it’s highly unlikely I ever will, and even less likely that we’d hook up if I did. But of course I wouldn’t want to hook up with him (or anyone else) if it turns out the assault rumours were true!

      • bluhare says:

That wasn’t snark, it was insulting and questioning her judgment.

Snark would be telling her to bring a pair of brass knuckles if she ever meets him. Point made.

      • V4Real says:

        @bluhare Good call.

      • Valois says:

Didn’t he admit hit himself? Or was it really only rumours?

    • CornyBlue says:

I saw some of Drew’s interviews and he is impressive. Hardy is a good actor and all but nothing justifies assholeness.. unless you discover the cure for cancer or something.

    • Jellybean says:

I would agree if the incident with Drew was a one off or if Drew had a history of slagging off actors. There has been a lot of chatter over the years to back up his opinion of Hardy and a lot of it has nothing to do with just being difficult to interview; a description which can be applied to plenty of actors. In comparison, I am willing to give Jennifer Lawrence some slack. I might not particularly like her brand of brashness, but I hadn’t heard any prolonged chatter about her being unpleasant and after the recent incident I will be wary of new complaints because once someone is down everybody piles in and kicks them, interpreting everything they do or say in the worst possible way.

  5. Sixer says:

I like Domhnall but he’s no Bloke, lustwise.

Oh, this is going to be fun. The Bloke is going to be dreadful at Oscaring and by the end of it, the only person left standing in his corner (and waving her knickers) will be ME.

  6. hnmmom says:

Dohmnall wins for me. About Time is one of my favorite movies, he was beyond endearing in that flick.

  7. Laura says:

Considering Tom Hardy is a terrible asshole, of course Domnhall.

  8. Mia4s says:

Tom for one night, no talking. ;-)

Domhall for the long term, he’s handsome and seems genuinely nice. Someone pointed out that he’s in FOUR Oscar nominees this year. Star Wars, Ex Machina, Revenant, and Brooklyn. He’s good luck too apparently!

    • Jegede says:

Domhnall needs to give his agent a $1 million bonus!

And Domhnall is a legit nice guy too.

    • lilacflowers says:

The film reviewer for The Boston Globe calls him “The Ubiquitous Domhnall Gleason.”

      • Mia4s says:

“The Ubiquitous Domhnall Gleason”, I love it.

There was a quote where Domhnall was talking about how he was totally cool with people asking about his Dad since he’s an amazing actor but would like the chance to talk about how his mother is a social worker and just as amazing. Right there it was love for me!

    • Lurker says:

I find it so strange that considering all the films he is in that got nominations, he was not invited to the golden globes! Ginger racism!

      • Mia4s says:

What?! Justice for Jingers! I mean Gingers! And the Golden Globe presenters were terrible and full up with mocktresses. Ugh!

The Oscars will be starving for Star Wars presenters but considering the next movie has already started filming in the UK they may not have much luck. I guess whoever has that week off? Well, they can probably get Ford. ;-)

      • ell says:

lots of people who should be invited aren’t (i think i remember some of the major GoT actors saying they weren’t invited, and i mean we’re talking about the most popular and successful show atm), but then they have people like kate bosworth in attendance. i don’t get it.

    • Adrien says:

Domhnall was ubiquitous last year just like Oscar Isaac who’s also proven to be a lucky charm on the small screen but I’m not complaining. Both guys don’t play the same characters in every movie they’re in. You won’t recognize them in the movies because they became the character not their celeb persona.

  9. Marny says:

Having nothing to do with Tom’s attitude, Domhnall all the way.

  10. ali.hanlon says:

Domhnall Gleeson all the way. Loved him in Star Wars and About Time.

  11. Jegede says:

I’m not a fan of misery-guts Hardy, but he was so so animated at the premiere.

The British morning shows were commenting on how happy and engaged he seemed (even with the -0 temperatures).

I think the Oscar nom has really given him a bounce.

    • Locke Lamora says:

You’d think the millions he’s getting for talking in front of a camera would be enough to give him “a bounce”. Guess not.

      • Jegede says:

You mean Hardy, a guy that can start a fight in an empty garage??

Being naturally civil without his ‘art’?. Hope springs eternal.

  12. Margo says:

Domhnall is a bit odd-looking but very appealing and charismatic — he has a kind of sensitivity with gravitas that I don’t see much anymore and much prefer to the macho quality I usually associate with most of Hardy’s performances.

Also had the chance to meet him at the stage door some years back. He was, and by all accounts has remained, a total sweetheart.

    • Who ARE these people? says:

He was a completely plausible leading-man alternative in Brooklyn … really enjoyed his performance.

      • Valois says:

I loved him in that film! I think it was really hard for him (well, the character) to show up in the last 30 minutes or so and to be a real alternative to Tony. Like you’ve already seen them falling in love and getting married. Nonetheless, I was rooting for the Irish guy!

  13. Pituka says:

My love for Hardy has died also. I think he is a good actor, he was really good in Locke. But his nom was a total surprise for me, I didn’t like his hammy performance in The Revenant and his accent was distracting. Gleeson was much better and natural. So yeah, ginger for me.

  14. Insomniac says:

Domhnall is one of those people who looks really hot in some pictures and really weird in others, but I don’t care. I love him anyway.

  15. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

The Bloke has become too violent, so no. Domhnall is not attractive to me at all, but I’ve only seen pictures of him. So neither.

    • Lurker says:

Ooh, I was the same – I’d only seen some pictures of Domnhall. The I fell down a YouTube rabbit hole watching video after video of him, and I’ve been in love since.

So maybe do that, if you want to ruin your life, I guess? 😊

  16. CornyBlue says:

I always feel that Donhall Gleeson should use mascara always.. he looks eyelashless. Yet incredibly sweet and i love him.

    • Locke Lamora says:

I’m surprised he has eyebrowes. My ginger friend’s eyebrowes are completely see trough. All her body hair is, actually.

  17. Dangles says:

    Beards are so 2012.

  18. Ethelreda says:

If I was a man reading this, I’d probably be happy to realise that if Domhnall Gleeson can be a hunk, there’s hope for everyone.

    • ell says:

lol, i don’t think he’s a hunk. it just proves that being interesting and having a cute personality makes people like you. as it should be.

      • Ethelreda says:

Sure, but there’s a difference between liking someone and lusting over them. Eye of the beholder and all that, but I just don’t see how Domhnall could be considered a hottie, however nice and talented he may be.

      • Bae says:

I feel the same about Hardy. I just can’t understand how he could be considered hot. Small eyes, weird lips, high-pitched voice.

      • Valois says:

Ethelreda, someone can be hot because he seems nice, funny and charming. It’s not always only about the looks.

      • Ethelreda says:

Well, people here are specifically commenting on how ‘handsome’ Domhnall is. Each to their own, but I just don’t see it.

And I suppose I just seek different things in a celebrity crush! The guys at my local supermarket are ”nice, funny and charming” but I’m not going to lust over them. All of these are great qualities to have in real life, but when it comes to celebrities I’m never going to meet, I want to feel lust, not just ”Well, he seems like a nice bloke!”

As I say, each to their own, but I’m pretty specific when it comes to celebrity fantasies!

      • Valois says:

I get your point. It might be a personal thing, but celebrities’ public persona can be a major turn-off for me, guess it is a turn-on in that case. :)

  19. Spikey says:

I can stomach me some douche, and I love dogs to death. So, yeah. I’ll be in my Bloke corner. Dom is fantastic and I wish him all the best, but he really pushes my Mommy button. Will leave some soup for him one day…

  20. Don't kill me I'm French says:

Tom Hardy smiled at the premiere ! Miracle!

    • Britt says:

I love Tom and everybody who really followed him in his career knows he detests violence. All rumors or miscommunication .. but hé, i don´t want to spoil this gossip-site so please continue to think so…

      • Don't kill me I'm French says:

        1/ .???
2 / next miracle ….Rooney Mara will smile on the red carpet of the next award show
3/ Hardy boasted himself in some interviews of his difficult personality on set or other place ( who said that he hit Bettany or Leboeuf on set ? Him….)

      • Britt says:

Difficult in this case means intense and passionate … and actually it was Leboeuf who knocked him down. Shia was totally a fanboy of Hardy watching all the interviews.

      • Mary-Alic says:

I’m with you as a person who has never had problems with Tom in my capacity at TIFF. Something I can say about very few of the “stars”.

  21. Tiffany27 says:

Domhnall Gleeson is not attractive to me AT ALL

But he could totally hit it.

  22. I Choose Me says:

Domhnall. Saw every film he’s in recently except Brooklyn and he’s definitely on my radar now.

  23. ell says:

they were both great in the revenant. better and much more natural than leo, tbqh.

  24. SusanneToo says:

Domhnall for me. My daughter wants Tom although her heart broke for D when he was beating on the door in Ex Machina, begging to be let out. I didn’t even know he was in The Revenant as I haven’t heard him bellyaching about the stresses of the shoot.

  25. Sam says:

Tom Hardy is a sweet, complex ed but honest man and a very special actor. So Tom is my man.

  26. Sacha says:

Still the bloke for me; i can’t help it…

  27. Eggland's worst says:

Domhnall, Domhnall, and Domhnall. All the way. I love me some gingers, especially ones in the US Navy or from the US South. I’d climb that like a tree.

  28. Sarah01 says:

Domnhall is a very versatile actor. He’s so handsome, his hair is sooooo beautiful. Even in Star Wars where although an entertaining film the dialogue was meh. He gives a speech to the storm troopers and my oh my it was magnificent. Would love to see more of him as a leading man, he’s got the Eddie vibe but with more umph.

  29. Tiffany says:

This is the year for nominees who have crappy accents in films.

  30. Molly says:

Please don’t let Domhnall become the internet’s boyfriend he’s too good for that.

  31. Harryg says:

Both were great in the movie. (Revenant.)

  32. FingerBinger says:

Neither but I love Tom Hardy’s coat.

  33. NeoCleo says:

“He is a beautiful man.” I don’t see that anywhere. I see a bloke who looks like he rubs elbows with the rest of the day laborers down at the pub of an evening.

  34. Penelope says:

Tom is extremely sexy, manly, hot, and a very good actor. Plus he loves dogs. Team Tom FOREVER.

  35. CK says:

Domhnall dressed as General Hux. I know that he was basically a space nazi, but he was super sexy with that cut/color.

    • I Choose Me says:

Right? I kept calling his character General McSneer face but I still kinda wanted to hit it? My downtown lady, she has issues.

  36. shewolf says:

Oh Tom is just your typical English man-grump. I love it. I absolutely love it even though its been bad for my soul more than once in my life. I wish my va-j-j liked things other than English man-grumps but it just doesn’t.

    Tom Hardy all the way.

    • Mira says:

      “typical English man-grump”

English men aren’t grumpier than others. Some people are just grumpy, thats all.

Not proud of this, but Tom. He remains impossibly hot to me.

Definitely recommend Domhnall’s recent Nerdist podcast. He comes across as a hilarious, interesting, down-to-earth, family-oriented guy. Great company.

    Still Tom, though….

  38. AntiSocialButterfly says:

Have to stick with Hardy on the purely physical end of things because Gleeson just looks too much like my eldest brother (family is 50% ginger, 50% blond)- ick factor as a result.

  39. Classy and Sassy says:

Tom Hardy has an open invitation to my ass.

  40. Reece says:

    Domhnall! All day!
And without looking at the pictures, excepting the puppy pitbull pictures Tom Hardy has never done it for me.
Plus I just love me some hot ginge!

  41. Freckles says:

Wow you lot are so fickle. I don’t comment but I follow enough to know that Tom hardy was way up there until recently and now he’s dirt. Really? That soon? You lot are nuts.

    • Div says:

Yeah, I don’t doubt that Tom has issues but Drew McWeeny’s story was weird. He first claimed Tom stood him up and then Tom, some commenter on here before Tom even responded, and others on twitter said Tom and Leo were paired the entire day so Tom couldn’t have stood him up. Then Drew wrote this weird explanation of why he worded it as Tom being an ass even though he was supposed to interview Tom and Leo together and finally admitted that it was a paired interview. Plus, I remember back when Drew got that guy fired from AICN for the pettiest thing and now he’s gone on to write for Dr. Strange while Drew is still at HitFix. Everyone acted like Tom was out of line for responding but Drew was a 40 something professional who works for a film site, not a tabloid, cursing and ranting with multiple tweets. I Just feel like people were ready to buy it because of the stories that Tom had been jerky in the past with reporters and didn’t stop to look at the bizarre inconsistencies in Drew’s story.. Also, everyone brings up the violence but Shia punched him, the Inarritu thing seemed like it might have been a joke since both wore shirts of them posing together with him in a headlock, and Bettany has his own rumors of being a huge a hole which I kind of believe after his bizarre overraction to a comment Jason Stratham made.

I’m not excusing his issues or his tendency towards violence but there’s shades of grey and it’s not like he has a history of attacking people out of the blue and he’s never said anything misogynistic or awful. Even Charlize went above and beyond to clear up the rumors about them hating each other when she could have very well gave a one line response and ignored it. Plus, everyone gives Fassbender (and Bill Murray!) a pass over their domestic violence accusations but Tom’s brawling makes him the devil. Meh.

I know, right? It’s a study in public manipulation, though. The way the writers twist to fit and the wY the commentators twist to fit the writers. It’s been so transparent on so many cases, it’s mind blowing how easy it is but it also looks cheap. One would assume grown up people don’t form their opinion based on gossip on social media but… some do, apparently.

Completely agree this whole Twitter story was suspicious and smelled of personal issues and an attempt in personalizing fault where such was missing. The journo got entagled in his own creation but here, the righteous judge based on gossip. LOL

      • I Choose Me says:

I’ll admit to falling for Internet gossip without first assessing all the facts. I’ve tried to be aware and not bandwagon but it’s easy to get swept along with the group think. When everyone’s saying the same thing and there appears to be history to back it up, you start to think, hm where’s there’s smoke there’s fire.

I gotta say Drew McWeeney was very convincing but when I took a minute to evaluate the whole sitch, I realised I oughta stick to this old adage: There are three sides to every story and the truth usually falls somewhere in the middle.

Also, people’s personal biases and prejudices will always, ALWAYS colour the narrative.

  42. Div says:

Why not both? I love that Domnhall is having such a good year

  43. Lis says:

Tom Hardy all day everyday!!! Superb actor with all of his diverse characters … Not to mention he’s hot as hell !!!

  44. Tessa says:

Domnhall and Will are good actors and lovely guys i ques, but there’s only one Tom f*cking Hardy and every time i watch an interview on Youtube or i watch him on the big screen there’s a big grin on my face and a tingling in my stomach ……. <33333

  45. Abigail says:

Love Domhnall, who seems like a truly nice person. Hardy doesn’t. And never got the “attractiveness” of Hardy, who is most definitely not a Bloke.

  46. Mocha says:

Yeah I’m throwing shade at Amal, what she and her team is trying to sell about Nasheed and the Maldives without taking a look at the facts. It ain’t as straitforward as they are trying to make it. People don’t just buy the bullshit she’s trying to sell just cause she’s EDUCATED and a lawyer!

  47. Veronica says:

Pass on both. Hardy’s personality does nothing for me, and neither does Domhall’s looks.

  48. amberj says:

Tom can destroy my va-j-j any day of the week.

  49. Mira says:

Tom is a good actor but he is about 4 feet tall so not for me. Domhall seems like a sweet guy and i loved him in Frank so i will choose him!!

  50. ANNABANANA says:

Between those two…I’d choose the bear.
