Coachella photos: Paris Hilton, Leo, Beyonce, Gigi Hadid & more

It’s that time of year. The smell of trust funds and patchouli fill the air as all the young (and not-so-young) hipsters descend on Indio, California for Coachella. This year’s Coachella seems to have a great line-up, although so far there haven’t been many “big name” attendees. No Alex Skarsgard… yet. No Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson either. But hey, we’ve got Paris and Nicki Hilton. Paris loves to pretend she’s a hipster for a few days out of the year. Here are some pics of her costume changes on Days 1 & 2. (Paris is wearing Meow Crowns by Flower Children Only.)

Aaron Paul & his wife Lauren Parsekian were hanging out. I like Aaron for not fearing the tank top. Lauren’s skort is a little meh.

Gabriel Aubry did the deep-V and scruffy beard thing. He looks good.

Lea Michele and her boyfriend Matthew Paetz. His hair, you guys.

Stacy Keibler was there with her husband Jared Pobre. I don’t think they brought their baby. Maybe it was just a little getaway, just the two of them.

I normally don’t like brown and black together, but Gigi Hadid’s outfit is sort of cute. I also enjoy the fact that so many of these girls are wearing their little stylish “Coachella outfits” but they’re still carrying their Gucci, LV and Marc Jacobs purses.

Sparkles went undercover to FKA Twigs’ performance – I’m including a pic of her on stage too.

What would Coachella be without Kate Bosworth and her creeper husband Michael Polish?

Life’s one big party for Leonardo DiCaprio. He’s probably going to try for some port-o-potty sex too.

And finally, this is what Beyonce Instagram’d as soon as she arrived in Indio.

Nice of Leo to bring the kids…

    • Mia4S says:

      You win. :-)

    • Kitten says:

LOL! Seriously though, why is he hanging out with teenagers?

      • VirgiliaCoriolanus says:

Because they’re starstruck? Seriously, when *I* meet and marry Liam Neeson, it better not be in some club for twenty year olds (unless he’s there to drag his sons out by their ears or something)…….

  2. NewWester says:

Port O Potty sex? How romantic. Gross

    • Mispronounced Name Dropper says:

When you put it that way it sounds gross. But when you say he’ll make sweet sweet love to someone in port o potty it sounds like a beautiful thing.

  3. CM says:

I shall only be interested when we get a Viking sighting

    • Minx says:

^This. Viking sightings – then you officially have my attention. :P May not happen though since he’s most likely filming in New Mexico.

    • littlemissnaughty says:

Word. Although maybe this year he’ll stick to one festival in Sweden and then show up at Glastonbury. *cough* Who knows. I’ll be excited either way. He seems to be among the few celebs who don’t “dress up” for the occasion.

I feel so old and un-cool looking at this. When we went to rock festivals over a decade ago, we did NOT care how we looked. Chances were the clothes ended up covered in beer and sweat anyway. Some grass stains to round out the class factor. A cigarette hole here or there.

      • Marrria says:

Oh you can still get that experience! It just depends what kind of festival it is.
I suppose Coachella is more about being seen than the music and rocking out.
Judging by Youtube videos I’ve seen, “Austin City Limits” & “Mountain Jam” look good ;)
I go to rock and the occasional metal festivals here in Germany and they’re always quite fun and wild but they too, did change concerning the attending crowd. Small festivals are still awesome :-)
“Wacken” is overcrowded and sold-out with people who don’t even listen to Metal and they keep filming EVERYTHING with their smartphones.
Though I can’t say that port o potty sex invatiations from drunk, sweaty, crass metal DUDES! \m/ are flattering… :D

      • littlemissnaughty says:

We used to go to Rock am Ring, it was rather cheap considering what you got for €100. But like I said, that was over 10 years ago and I aside from the fact that it doesn’t exist the way it used to anymore, I think even that festivals had already changed quite a bit. I really really did not want to “be seen” during that weekend. ;-) I was happy to not be recognized.

  4. cr says:

I’m not a festival goer, not much on crowds. But for those who do, how practical is it to wear white? Because that’s not the color choices I’d be going with, I’d be going with something to hide the beer/grass/mud/sweat stains.
The Hiltons: ugh. Though not as ‘ugh’ as as the Jenner sisters’ outfits.
And Kate, that’s not a bad outfit, though not something I’d wear to a concert, but your makeup looks like you applied it with a trowel.

    • Tig says:

I’m going to hazard a guess- re the Hiltons’ white outfits- given how green the grass/faux grass is- they are in an event tent, so not much grime there. Otherwise, wearing white to an outdoor dusty event means you don’t need the white garment to ever be white again!!

      • cr says:

In other words, since they have VIP passes and are probably only strolling around for the purposes of being papped, it’s an acceptable outfit. If they were there to actually listen to the music and interact with the rest of the attendees, no.

    • Kitten says:

I think once you hit 30, it’s time to retire the cat-ear headbands.

      • Frida_K says:

She (Paris) really is starting to look like her mother and yes, the kitty-cat ear headband just doesn’t fit in with her middle-aged persona.

Not that there is anything wrong with being middle-aged, but Paris and her mother both have that “In my heart, I’m twenty and I’ll anxiously hang on to that notion until it is pried out of my cold dead hands” vibe. Which does not go along with cat-ear headbands and other like.

    • Abby says:

I was just thinking about that! White = not a good idea for a festival. And I actually like the Hilton outfits… except for the ears. No on the ears.

    • tifzlan says:

      White and flats. FLATS.

    • MonicaQ says:

I went to EDC and wore white. Giant mistake. Though I’m there for the music and not there to get my picture taken.

    • prettylights says:

Agree on the white clothing! It looks pretty and summery but the minute you sit down on the grass/have a drink spilled on you/someone mashes their pizza into you/a cigarette gets too close it’s over.

When I go to festivals I wear long patterned skirts with a t shirt or tank top or a maxi dress. Always in a colorful print to hide any mishaps. I prefer longer skirts and dresses too so when I sit I’m not flashing my undies. I have a lot of saree silk wrap skirts with two layers that dry really quickly so if I get spilled on I’m not wet for hours, they keep me cool even though they’re long, if it is too hot I can tuck them up and shorten them, and in a pinch I can pull the top layer over my shoulders if the sun is too intense.

I might not be the most fashionable festival-goer but at least I’m comfy and ready for anything!

      • Ange says:

I only go to one festival and it’s a heavy metal festival so I wear closed in shoes and something that won’t show any sweat on it because 99% of it isn’t mine lol.

    • Kosmos says:

I agree….sort of. What I notice most is that even though the ladies look good wearing their boho or a hippy-bohemian look, many of them carry their ordinary leather city shoulder bags !! This just looks bad….they need possibly a Fringe bag, bucket bag, burlap bag, a tapestry bag, a sling bag, or anything more appropriate than their everyday leather bag. I don’t know why I see so many blunders here….??

  5. Nya says:

I hate these threads, because it’s usually full of annoying people who have never been a festival. There’s like 100,000 people at Coachella, and it’s the best time ever. The try-hard “celebs” (Hiltons, Vanessa Hudgens, Jenners) make up only an itty bitty percentage of people who go to have fun.

    • Janna says:

Meh, I’ve been to Coachella (albeit it 10 years ago when it was more about music than a “scene”), and it was pretty miserable. Super hot, too crowded, terrible food, and you couldn’t really enjoy any music until the sun went down. I have some good memories but you couldn’t pay me to attend again!

    • Beth says:

Umm, I would not presume who has and hasn’t been to a festival. I trust this crowd has had their fair share of experiences. What is annoying, however, is being presumptuous about other people you know little about.

And I concur with Janna; Coachella, while fun, has its limitations. Nowhere near the best festival out there.

  6. Dońt kill me i'm french says:

Apparently the celebrities are paid to come by the sponsors

    • cr says:

Not all the celebs, there are those who actually attend because they like to go to music festivals. But the Bosworths, Jenners, the ones who make sure they get papped, yes they’re paid/comped in some way. It’s not as if these celebs attend any other festival than Coachella.
Which is a pity, because if I were a festival goer, there are years when Coachella has a really good lineup, but the actual festival coverage is dominated by the poseurs.

      • Angie says:

Someone pays Kate Bosworth to come to Coachella? Seriously? wow ot a fan of the Jenners AT ALL but at least you can see a fandom for them. Who cares about Kate Bosworth anymore – or ever did for that matter

      • cr says:

If KB didn’t actually get paid, it’s highly likely that she got a lot of freebies, she was shilling away on her Instagram. She may not be much of a gossip staple anymore, but there’s still a segment of the fashion world that pays attention to her, so she’ll continue to get the freebies and paid appearances.

      • Angie says:

Fair point @cr Thanks for answering :)

      • cr says:

@Angie: I admit I’m amused/mystified by her ‘Coachella/festival queen’ status. She brought her hair stylist, and probably her stylist and makeup artist, and got thousands of dollars of freebies, and doesn’t look ‘effortlessly chic’ to me. To me she looks try hard. But there is still a segment that thinks she looks natural and stylish. I have friends who can put together better looks from stuff at a thrift store.

  7. Sarah says:

Holy makeup Kate Bosworth…… if I can tell it’s caked on from that far away then it is really caked on good and proper….

    • littlemissnaughty says:

I love this woman. A white dress and shellacked face for a music festival. She’s glorious and I don’t even mean that in a bad way. For entertainment purposes, she never lets me down!

      • cr says:

She is very entertaining, for her total devotion to being a try hard and that she seems oblivious to how obvious it is. And those shoes and boots she wore this weekend, from the line she designed/curated. They’re pretty ugly/meh.

    • zan says:

Her outfit is beautiful though, really nice vest

  8. Izzy says:

Ah, Coachella. The Booze and Blow Fest of California, where celebs get to return to their faux hippie roots.

  9. MrsBPitt says:

I think Beyonce had to pee! That’s what I do, when I have to pee really badly! lol

  10. heylee16 says:

I would bet my cat that is not a picture of Leo…

  11. lucy2 says:

Apparently the one outfit Beyonce wore retailed for like $8000 or something. Yeah, she’s pure hippie, that one!
Funny how some people dress like it’s 100 degrees, and others are wearing fur jackets (ick).

  12. Size Does Matter says:

    Gigi Hadid is terrifically beautiful.

Someone needs to tell Paris Hilton she’s too old for kitty cat ear headbands.

  13. Lucky says:

What’s with all the booties?? Please go away, Beyoncé too

  14. Mrs. Wellen Melon says:

Celebitchy, you owe my computer one douchebag-o-meter.

The needle indicated douche overload. Smoke poured out the back, then there was a loud POP! Now it doesn’t work.

    All because of these photos.

  15. Franca says:

Leonardo is te best dressed hands down. At least he wears what he usually wears.
All those people who dress normally during the year but then go boho crazy at festivals annoy me to no end. Vanessa Hudgens was the only exception, her style was always very bohemian.

At least no one is appropriating Nativ American, Indian or Romani culture in these picutres, so there’s that.

  16. Greek chic says:

Paris Hilton is a joke. Who goes to a festival in cat ears, full skirt and ballet flats? She thinks its 2003 and she is relevant.
Niki has put on a few (needed) weight, I remember her knees were so bony.
It would be OK if these celebrities wore hippie clothes is their everyday life but most of them are dressed like this only for coachella and are just poseurs.

  17. bettyrose says:

Beyonce flew to Indio? Could that be any less hipster?

  18. Susie Q says:

Both the Hiltons look fugly in both outfits. The first one looks like Paris got it at Kyle’s shop on sale.

  19. FingerBinger says:

Except for maybe Gigi Hadid the rest of these people are too old for this.

    • Beth says:

I don’t know why some people here hold such disdain for celebs or concert goers who are over a certain age and go to these types of festivals. My grandparents came of age during Woodstock and anyone over the age of 21/22 was deemed too old for those types of events back then. Nowadays, no one would tell a 25-year-old they were too old for a festival, so I don’t get why anyone over 25 or 30 has to be treated with such contempt for having fun–other than Leo who is poaching for teen booty.

  20. serena says:

I’m just so grossed out by Leonardo Di Caprio.. so so gross!

    • leah says:

Bradley Cooper was there too. Between him bradley and Gabriel aubrey they could form a middle age playboy club.

      • Dońt kill me i'm french says:

Cooper was at Coachella with ….Clint ….Eastwoood and ……( suspense) Sukiiiiii!

  21. TheBizzla says:

For heavens sakes, is Beyoncé pregnant or not!? Wtf.

  22. QQ says:

What infuriates me most about these asshole fashions and fringed this flowery that is That you end up going to Target/Ross/Marshalls/old navy and what have you and They THINK we wanna look like these faux hippies so basically Until fall (more in FL) you simply cannot find a Substantial Top a shirt for work Pants that cover your ass, a cute heel, a nice T-Shirt to wear Is basically A Bunch of Dumb Sh!t younger girls shouldn’t be wearing and a woman with any type of sense or Bust or Occasion other than a festival in Indio to attend shouldn’t be seen with ever

  23. Sara says:

I would describe Paris’s style as gaudy. Nikki has great style IMO. Paris is always overdone.

  24. Olenna says:

“port-o potty sex? Kaiser, you are so wrong! LOL!

  25. Antonia Rubin says:

    Paris is “middle-aged” ?!? Wtf is 30 the 40 now? *confused* =^..^=
