Wow to the tracy Morgan and the Amanda bynes story

    • Kiddo says:

Yeah. It’s an often used defense to mitigate a financial settlement, making the victim somewhat culpable in their own injuries, but total fail on a PR level. Especially after making the initial statement that they would take full responsibility for their harm. I guess they just want small harm. The vehicle Tracy Morgan was in was at a full stop and the Walmart truck slammed into it. One could argue he temporarily took off the seatbelt to do something, while the car was not moving, and had fair /reasonable expectations that, while being fully stopped, he was in no danger. If he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. I hate Walmart.

      • mimif says:

I loathe Walmart and their kin. That is so messed up. Kiddo, are you a lawyer or a paralegal, or what? I cannot figure out wtf it is that you “do” because your breadth of knowledge covers all bases. Wait. Are you Satan?

      • Kiddo says:

Baby eater, by trade. No I’m not a lawyer, just have some people close who share views, who are lawyers. And Walmart is SATAN.

      • Jaderu says:

When does Walmart not fail at PR?
They make so much money and it seems like they don’t even care what their public image looks like.
        Satan would side eye Walmart.
And I don’t know about every state, but I thought in a bus/limousine only front seat passengers are required to wear seatbelts? I could be wrong.

      • mimif says:

Ha, touché, Kiddo. Well I’m gonna keep on guessing til I get it right. Moobra!

@Potato Skank, Jim Hightower has some awesome commentary on Walmart that will really boil your potatoes.

      • Kiddo says:

@Jaderu, They do care, so they push this image of a wholesome family owned business only out to save poor people money. But they game the system for their wealth, first, foremost, and always, they create poor people and destroy businesses and the middle class.

I tried to find your answer on seatbelts in Limos in NJ where the accident happened, and it looks like everyone is supposed to wear them, but I wouldn’t swear by it.

      • Tiffany :) says:

Walmart’s actions are terrible but they aren’t surprising.

    • Jaderu says:

Ok, I’m sure it must vary by state.
My good friend’s daughter worked ( she quit because they kept cutting her hours and she wasn’t even making enough to cover gas and childcare.) at Walmart and said the first they did was show her videos that kept trying to drill into her head how horrible unions were. She felt like she was being brainwashed.

      • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

My mom worked for Walmart for about a year, and then had to quit because she couldn’t take it. Where I live the Walmart only lets you work part time, so they don’t have to give you health insurance. My mom said at the orientation that they said that they believe in ‘taking care of their own’, so that’s why they don’t pay insurance. Whatever.

The only reason people where I live go to Walmart is because we have only a few family owned grocery stores, and they’re a bit more expensive than Walmart–which, when you have seven people in a house….

      • Kiddo says:

@Virgilia Coriolanus, I didn’t intend to condemn people who go there. In many parts of the country it is the only choice, partially by design and partially by killing off competition. The funny thing is, once you have greater choice, you realize that their prices aren’t even the best or least expensive. They may be cheap on some articles of clothing, but those are some really bad options made of materials I never heard of before.
Buy something in cotton, for example, and they are no bargain compared to competitors like Kohls, Target and small boutique shops (not designer driven).

      • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

        @Kiddo
I know you didn’t mean to condemn people–but I’m just saying that that’s the only reason why my mom still shops there….she doesn’t buy clothes there, but we are a big family, and we spend a lot of money on food…..and I live in a county where there are a lot of apostolic Lutheran families that have upwards of 8,9, 10 kids….for some people, there’s not a lot of choice.

    • mimif says:

@Kiddo: Omg I got it! You’re a research analysist. It all makes sense now.

*pops Xanax and finally relaxes after solving one of life’s great mysteries*

ETA: @Jaderu I have a friend who applied to Home Depot and he said the same thing, and this was before he even got the job. Also, I really do have a potato launcher. Let’s get to it!

      • Jaderu says:

Can your potato launcher be adjusted for size? Like will it shoot tatertots and knishes like straight into my mouth? I’m dizzy with the excitement that it’s possible.

      • Antonym says:

@jaderu – can we shoot some potatoes my way? I’ve enjoyed the tater talk and teasing from afar, but when you start talking about launching potatoes directly into mouths I have to jump in!

  2. Tiffany27 says:

I would be beyond terrified to get pregnant by someone I had only dated for 4 months, but congrats to her. I’ve always liked Liv.

    • Luciana says:

Apparently they have known each other for years but started dating early this year. Anyway, congrats to them!

    • Misstee says:

She got pregnant pretty much on the first date as she it definitely beyond 3 months – but you know given her families history with parenthood and pregnancy this probably seems normal to her.

    • Emma - the JP Lover says:

I’m not trying to start anything, but there is a rumor floating around the Internet that Justin Theroux is the father of Liv’s baby. Of course I don’t believe it for one minute … but I must say that I find the insinuation fascinating.

      • don't kill me i'm french says:

        Stop to believe CDAN blinds,please!

      • mimif says:

We will know for sure if the baby arrives orange with shoe polish hair and groomed caterpillar eyebrows.

      • Luciana says:

She doesn’t seem like the kind of girl who would go after a married/engaged guy but I might be wrong. She seems to sweet for her own good.

      • Kiddo says:

        And eyeliner.

      • Isadora says:

Wow… all I can think of is how pretty the baby would be.

      • Jaderu says:

Liv’s ultrasound. The marvels of modern technology still amaze me.

      • Liv says:

        mimif, you’re cracking me up!

That said, as if! I’d agree with Virgilia – she wants another baby and he’s right now the right man. It might stay that way.

      • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

I think that any rumors of Liv and Justin came from the fact that Jennifer and Justin don’t seem to spend ANY time together, and seem to only meet up for premieres and short visits that are few and far between (which, ironically enough, happened with Brad in like the last two years of their marriage), and that Liv and Justin get along really great (don’t know if they were friends before, or knew each other before) i.e. Liv’s instagram pics, AND the fact that Liv talked about Justin’s bulge (BALLS)–which was completely gross and inappropriate to say.

I’d say THAT’S why rumors are starting up. I don’t think Liv and Justin are having a torrid affair.

Although–if I wanted to start some, you could always back it up with what Liv’s mother did. Raised Liv as another man’s child…….Liv carrying on a torrid and BALLS-OUT affair with Justin, gets pregnant with Justin’s magical swimmers, doesn’t tell Justin but has/gets a boyfriend….names the kid Dave/Davina Gardner the II, and then in 20 years we’ll find out that Dave/Davina Gardner is REALLY Dave/Davina THEROUX….and Dave/Davina will INSIST that his/her name is spelled with a fancy, ironic font……and that he/she REALLY wanted to wear skinny jeans with big combat boots, but Mama Liv say NO.

      • Emma - the JP Lover says:

@Don’t Kill Me I’m French, who wrote: “Stop to believe CDAN blinds, please! ”

I actually didn’t read the rumor at CDAN Blinds, but the very thought that it might have ‘appeared’ as a Blind means the rumor is bigger than I imagined.

  3. Mitch Buchanan Rocks! says:

I’m a stealin her wardrobe and it will all fit mwahahhahaha :)

  4. LAK says:

About as secret as Mrs Timberlake’s pregnancy.

    • paola says:

Yeah I saw those pics of Jessica Biel. She either gave up on steel abs or she is clearly pregnant.
I don’t think at the moment I can deal with the thought of those 2 having sex.
      *shivers down my spine*

  5. paola says:

Rita Ora might look slightly better in those pics but I’m sure she’ll look like hell again in no time.
She has an amazing talent: she manages to make look cheap even the most expensive piece of fashion design. She outdoes Kim Kardashian and that is saying something.

  6. Size Does Matter says:

I bet Liv is praying for a girl so there’s no little dong of distraction to give up the goods. JK, all the best to her, I’m a 90s girl so she’s a favorite.

  7. mimif says:

Full stop. Is that angels I hear singing or did we really go an entire day without a Kimye post.

*obliterates golden commode with a battle axe, dances on the million little pieces & cackles with joy*

    • paola says:

I was indeed wondering what is wrong with the world today!

    • Kiddo says:

      Shhhssh. You’ll awaken the beast.

      • potatohead says:

The “K” beast must be seething because a “real classy” wedding took place, and has received so many “tastefully done” stories, instead of the ridiculous mess she called her “last wedding” that is/was a farce.

      • Kiddo says:

That second wedding, a least as far as the coverage, is moving dangerously close to being a farce, especially coming from the ‘I like my privacy’ crowd.

      • mimif says:

        Keeping Up With Le Klooneys.

      • Jaderu says:

Kim just forgot to do the hair flip/wind machine. But then one of her extensions would have flung across the room and taken out poor Jaden Smith. Imagine the existential tweets that would have followed.

PS – Would CB let me change my name to PotatoSkank3000?

      • Kiddo says:

I love that. George Klooney, lol.

    • Tiffany :) says:

:: Tiffany joins mimif and starts to burn sheer and lacy toddler clothing, also cackling with joy ::

  8. Dawn says:

Well congrats to Liv! Good luck to Tracy…I hope he guts Walmat.

  9. Lia says:

Liv’s face looks great with the bit of extra fullness from pregnancy.

  10. tallo says:

It’s terrible about the crash that Tracey Morgan was injured in as it should never have happened if Walmart paid their staff a decent wage instead of making a sleep deprived driver work a 12 hour shift. How much is Walmart worth? How rich is rich enough for them to be able to afford to pay their workers enough to live? Sorry I’m getting off the point they should be accepting liability and not trying to reduce the damages deserved by Tracey and everyone hurt/ had family members killed as a result of this accident. It would be nice if Walmart could factor fair wages for their staff into their business plan…..

  11. Lucy2 says:

I had a really crappy day at work but that video of Mindy and Elmo dancing just about fixed it.
    Congrats to Liv.
Walmart should be ashamed of how they’re handling this. Just do the right thing and settle with the victims.

  12. Intro Outro says:

Congrats to Liv, too, I really have nothing against her, but the lower part of her face looked so unnaturally stiff and weird in The Leftovers that I couldn’t tear my eyes away. It was irritatingly distracting.
