Tori Spelling gave birth to her fourth child, son Finn Davey McDermott

Wow, just days after Tori Spelling made me kind of naseous with her line about “my now pliable pelvic bones move and crunch,” she has given birth to her fourth and possibly last child. Tori stepped out just a few days ago, and everyone was making a big deal about how she was ready to give birth at any moment. Usually when celebrities do their “last red carpet” before giving birth, they’ve still got several weeks left – but not Tori! She gave birth last night in LA. A little boy! He’s already got a name too:

It’s a boy for Tori Spelling! The Craft Wars host and her husband, Dean McDermott, welcomed their fourth baby, Finn Davey McDermott, on Thursday evening, Spelling confirmed on her website.

“Please join us in welcoming Finn Davey McDermott,” Spelling wrote of her 6 pound, 6 ounces bundle of joy.

The McDermott family’s new arrival joins older siblings Liam, 5, Stella, 4, and Hattie, 10 months. (McDermott also has a teenage son, Jack, from a previous marriage.)

Confirming her pregnancy in March — just five months after welcoming daughter Hattie — Spelling, 39, caught flack for expanding her brood so quickly. And while the actress joked that it was her husband’s insatiable sex drive that led to her unplanned pregnancy, McDermott said he doesn’t regret ignoring doctor’s orders to wait at least six weeks before getting intimate.

“It’s so funny how everyone blames the man,” McDermott, 45, told Celebuzz after Spelling confirmed their family was growing. “It’s like, ‘Oh my God, will you leave your wife alone?’ But it takes two to tango. She wasn’t putting up that much of a fight. But I have big shoulders. I’ll take it.”

Choosing to keep her newborn’s gender a surprise until giving birth, Spelling has said her older kids took gaining another sibling in stride. Liam and Stella were “over-the-moon and super excited” when she and her husband of six years announced they were expecting Hattie, but with their new sibling, “it was as if we had said, ‘Oh we got milk today,” Spelling confirmed. “We brought home milk today and put it in the fridge and you can go help yourself to a glass.’”

Outside of her family home, Spelling wasn’t afraid to flaunt her growing baby bump — haters be damned. “I have to say, I’m super proud of my bump. Why should I be embarrassed and cover up something that’s the greatest gift a woman can experience? A pregnant woman in any shape or size is beautiful!” Spelling — who made a habit of flaunting her figure in sexy maternity clothes, including skimpy swimwear — blogged in early August.

“I’m making a conscious choice to show my daughters that they can express themselves and be proud as a woman of their bodies,” she continued. “I don’t ever want them to think that they should be ashamed of or self-conscious of their bodies, no matter what shape it’s in.”

[From Us Weekly]

I don’t completely hate the name “Finn Davey”. In fact, I’ve always liked the name Finn in general – although I’ve always sort of thought it would make a better animal name, you know? Like, Finn the Puppy. Finn the kitty cat. Davey seems a bit twee – cute enough for a baby or a child, but as an adult, I think he’ll probably dislike the Davey.

Anyway, congrats to Tori and Dean. I do hope Dean leaves his wife alone for two seconds and Tori doesn’t get knocked up straight away yet again.

davey is tori’s middle name as well. she and her son are named for one of her grandfathers. best wishes to the family.

    • Kim says:

Congrats to them Off topic I just read that GMA Robin Roberts mom died on and her sis made it thru flooded roads in MS to see goodbye just in time.I saw her mom on the View doing press for her book a few weeks ago RIP

  2. Birdie says:

Congrats. I like the name and I really wish that Dean wouldn’t put pressure on her with all the sexy time.

    • RovingLass says:

lol…I agree with Dean. She could say no. What about contraceptives? They are ways out there to make sure you don’t get pregnant while enjoying sexy time. ;)

  3. MsCatra says:

Love the name! And, while she generally annoys me, I do have to give her props for her great attitude towards pregnancy. If only she’d extend her “show my daughters” attitude towards loving yourself as/is, not after the knife.

  5. RocketMerry says:

I wouldn’t worry about her getting pregnant again, with 4 kids she’ll be as busy as a Lohan’s lawyer (even considering nannies and staff).

She should choose a more relaxed hairstyle (wavy and layered) and hair-colour (a nice light brown), and stop with the eyeliner. All in all, though, she looks great and healthy.

  6. Answer says:

    Tori a housemom, who would’ve ever thought…
    Nice for her.

  7. Elizabeth says:

Tori was the oldest of 2 kids. Maybe she felt a bit lonely in that epic palace (20,000 square feet?) that she grew up in. No matter – her house will be full to bursting for another 15 years of so. Break out the minivan, Tori. Glad you found your happy place!

  8. lizzi says:

I’m sorry but wtf about him “bothering her” with the sexy time and getting knocked up? how about a condom? They can get it on all they want without getting preggers again! lol… just sayin’

  9. Esmom says:

Wow, she’s really pushing the kids out left and right, it seems like she just gave birth to the third one.

Love the name Finn. Seems to be more and more common these days. My kids have numerous Finns in their classes, each with different full names.

  10. Madpoe says:

    Finn Davey. Sounds sea worthy.

  11. Carolin says:

What about her teenage son? Doesn’t he live with her? They never seem to count them as her fifth child.

    • Happymom says:

She doesn’t have a teenage son. Her husband has one from his previous marriage-but he lives with his mom in Canada most of the time. Oh-and just shoot me for even knowing this.

      • Violet says:

What’s really awful is that he walked out on his first wife, their young (biological) son and recently-adopted baby daughter. The icing on the cake? Tori was also married to someone else at the time.

The worst part is that he only keeps in touch with the son, which I think is pretty sh*tty of him.

  12. jamminatorr says:

I like the name Finn. I have friends that named their kid that except they spelt it Phynn. Yeah…. we don’t talk much anymore.

  13. Melissa says:

“She wasn’t putting up that much of a fight.”? Ewww. I have no problem with the “It take’s two to tango” line – that’s totally true. But this – I mean – really?

  14. judyjudy says:

    Man, girl must be TIRED.

  15. Sasha says:

Is anyone else bothered at his “she didn’t put up much of a fight, but I have big shoulders, I can take it.” that was truly creepy. It honestly sounds like he was joking about raping her.

    • fabgrrl says:

It DOES sound creepy. I think she was trying to say she can “shoulder” the burden of another baby. But it came out wrong.

What I think is icky is these two and their CONSTANT sex life declarations. We have SEX all the time! We had SEX while both married to other people! We just couldn’t help it, we are so SEXY and SEXUAL. Look at all these kids, because we just can’t stop with the SEX!

But they aren’t the only ones. It seems like EVERYONE who has a baby has to talk about HOW HARD is is to wait the six weeks, or how they broke the rules and had sex. Gah! TMI! I’m not a prude, it just seems like couples with a fulfilling sex life don’t really need to share it publicly.

      • MollyB says:

I know! I was in NO mood for sex with my husband after six weeks, what with the exhaustion and nursing, etc. I made a rule—until I’m sleeping through the night, the only thing I’m doing in bed is sleeping.

      • lrm says:

yea that comment was confusing-but I think HE [it was not her comment] means he can take the ‘blame’ as in they always blame the man, which he had commented on preceeding that big shoulders comment….ie, ‘shoulder the blame’….

i’m pretty sure that’s what he meant. awkward phrasing though.

      • Ludakristen says:

        Awful thing to say.

“We always blame the man” is a crock of shit, too. Scroll up a few comments and someone is telling Tori to keep her legs closed.

  16. Sasha says:

    • lrm says:

no; he said ‘the always blame the man, but i have big shoulders; i can take it’…as in ‘shoulder the blame, carrying the world on your shoulders’, etc.
he meant he’ll take the blame that others dish out….
yea, awkward comment and joke fail….i think.

  17. Dawn says:

What a nice name! Love it. Congrats to her and her family.

  18. mandygirl says:

My husband’s name is David and his family still calls him “Davey,” but they are a bunch of backward hilljacks. He and I both twitch when they call him that. It reminds me of Davey Crockett, LOL.

  19. Jessica says:

Finn = fin?? (the end – she said this was her last one right??)

  20. She just keeps getting uglier every day. Nice gold rope chain, though.

  21. Green is Good says:

Another baby to remind Tori what her original face looked like.

  22. Suzy (from Ontario, Canada) says:

Congratulations to them. Two boys and two girls! I like the name and I think it fits well with the others they have chosen.

  23. DemoCat827 says:

I’m assuming she’ll be pregnant again by Halloween, right?

  24. RobN says:

I wish her well but I’d like her better if there were no pictures. I just can’t look at her. I am decidedly average looking, but have decided against wearing clown make-up and it’s been a good choice. Something she should think about.

  25. BLOGAHOLIC says:

Congrats now keep your legs closed.

  26. kay says:

omg. my 10 year old son is named fynn davey. how RANDOM is this? wow.

  27. kay says:

    That Kay is not me!

    I don’t have a 10 year old boy!

  28. Ludakristen says:

“She didn’t put up much of a fight” is a pretty gross thing to say about your wife.

  29. Bodhi says:

Finn & Quin are 2 of my all time favorite names & thanks to the abomination that is Glee, there are going to be a zillion of both in kindergarten in a few year, mark my words.

So we named our son Arleigh Finn

  30. Meg says:

She should stop with the makeup it’s crazy

  31. bgirl says:

Her body must be ravaged. I hope they tied her tubes.

    • Jaycee says:

Just for having four kids? There is nothing wrong with that. Some people actually want more than one child. It is entirely her choice – her body. Having four babies does not “ravage” your body. I know a lot of childless people who ravage their bodies by smoking, drinking and eating too much.

What is so interesting to me about feminists is they promote abortion and birth control, but then turn around and criticize women who want to have children. Whatever happened to: “its her body, her choice”?

      • Bodhi says:

You must not know much about feminism then. The entire point of the feminist movement is that women should have control of their bodies, minds, & souls. A woman who chooses to have 4 kids is no less of a feminist than a woman who chooses to have no kids. Feminists do not promote or encourage BC or abortion, they encourage CHOICE

      • ZenB!tch says:

It’s the anti-population growth peeps who complain about too many kids.

Her body may be ravaged – not from the first 2 but the ones she had 10 months apart. Her body wasn’t done recovering yet. Ouch! I know women who couldn’t sit for a few months after having a baby. OUCH!

        And that creepy TMI… eww!

  32. Trina says:

She seems well-grounded considering her upbringing, but I wonder if they ever have his son over from his first marriage–never see pics of him

  33. lisa says:

Wow, only 10 months apart. Will they be in the same grade? They actually could if she wanted them to be. When I went to school the people born in August were the youngest in each grade and the people born in September the oldest.

    • Jayna says:

Boys are more immature and usually do better in school going in as one of the oldest in a class not the youngest.

  34. Mourning the Death of Music says:

Bless her. Her face is terribly puffy from pregnancy in those photos. Never flattering. I don’t miss that particular phase.

    • LeslieM says:

Now that you mentioned it, I had that puffy face too. I think your puffy when you go in and then they pump you full of iv fluids and you stay that was for a couple a weeks. Then it goes back to almost normal.

      • Zaza says:

that happened to me. Best part was I had to renew my license a couple days after and am stuck with a fat face picture!

      • Zaza says:

that happened to me. Best part was I had to renew my license a couple days after and am stuck with a big face picture!

  35. Meghan says:

I believe Dean’s ex and son moved to LA at some point so he does see him more often. If im not mistaken, theres some agreement in place to not show the son on tv but he visits them often. and the daughter of the ex is not Dean’s. The ex-Mary Jo adopted her solely. Just FYI

  36. eva says:

I like that she seems genuine. Congrats and best wishes for continued happiness.

My face did the same thing when I was pregnant with my first. I shudder when I see pics of myself from that time. I looked like that honey boo boo’s mom. Eventually the swelling went a way but I was traumatized with the fear that I might be carrying the baby in my face and neck area.

    hang in there, Tori!

  37. Zaza says:

I would love to have 4 kids…IF I had money for help. Congrats. Kinda jealous.

  38. Snowpea says:

I love this girl. She is so the one laughing in life. She was born into privilege, but was dealt a bad hand after that with her weirdass mum and her unfortunate looks.

But Tori has taken her lemons and turned into one giant delicious lemon tart! She’s got her hubby and her big, noisy, family. Life is fun in a big, noisy family. And NOBODY even remembers the fact that she was a homewrecker. *sideeye to Leann Grimes*

  39. Marci Stier says:

Why is everyone so rude. There is so much love in that family, they are both awesome parents and I am so happy for them. Get over yourselves, and quit talking about her looks. I am sure all of you that are commenting are gorgeous models, right?
