Amy Adams and the ladies in metallic at the VF Oscar party: one lovelier than the next?

We’re wrapping up our exhaust(ive/ed) fashion coverage of the Oscars and the night that would never end. I just wanted to give a shout out to Amy Adams for looking like a siren at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in this incredible Vivienne Westwood gown that fits her like a glove. Holy crap that dress is a knockout! Amy really has sharp red carpet style, I remember MSat gushing over her when she was all over awards season in 2008, and she’s grown on me so much since. Amy is back after having her baby and boy is she ever! She only did The Muppet Movie last year, but this year she has at least three movies coming out. Nice to have you back Amy, you sexy yet wholesome thing.

Minnie Driver was also stunning in an absolutely elegant draped metallic and silk gown. I haven’t found a designer ID on it yet, but it could be Alberta Ferretti as she’s worn that designer in the past and it’s similar, but not identical, to some of the other incredible dresses by that designer. I just wasted several minutes going through photos on the Ferretti website. Those dresses are phenomenal. Look at how on point this look is.

Brooklyn Decker looked super sexy in a low cut spaghetti strap gown with delicate fishscale beading. I can’t find a designer ID on this dress either, but that’s not stopping me from drooling over it. This is like the perfect boob to coverage ratio. This is how you show a lot of cleavage but avoid looking sleazy. How does she do that? Is it because we’re sure she’s not going to slip a nip?

Allison Janney really worked that striped silver draped gown. I don’t even like horizontal stripes but they look fab on her. This just reminds me that Janney wasn’t at the Oscars. But still the stupid Monaco royals got to go, just by calling in a favor to the CEO of Disney, who stammered an explanation of how he knew them. Translation: they begged for an invite, and he helped them out.

They all look gorgeous! And I agree that Prince Albert and Camilla being at the Oscars was ridicoulus.

Agree with Maguita below. You did a great job.

    • Maguita says:

      “Camilla”????!!!

You meant Charlene!… I think that is her name. But oh what a slip Asli, poor woman is a prisoner, while Camilla had taken Charles prisoner for a few decades now!

      • Zozo says:

Sorry but taken prisoner? In what way as she taken him prisoner? He has clearly wanted to be with her since the beginning, as they had a relationship before Charles with Diana. Charles is probably loads happier now than he was in his previous marriage.

Congrats Ladies on a job well-done!!! Never thought the Oscar Fashions would be this exhaustively depicted! It was amazing and would nourish my fashion hunger for a while.

Brooklyn Decker looked surprisingly very good! Her “girls” were very much controlled, so the rest was properly highlighted.

    No Merly’s monstrosity metallic?
These women look great, imo, except Brooklyn. That’s summer casual dress cut not a dress cut for the Oscar’s, a dress cut for an Aniston beach party

Amy looked the best. I am loving the Vivienne Westwood love affair that Hollywood is having with her clothes. The only negative is that this dress looks like the Rachel McAdam dress from The Vow premiere. At least the top part does.

Brooklyn Decker’s boobs look like they were just caught by a fisher man’s net. They need better support than what she has one. her girls are too big for her not to be wearing a bra.

I like these photos of Allison she looks amazing. Makes me wish she was on a red carpet more often. I miss her.

After seeing all the gold I was just wondering why there wasn’t any silver-and then here comes Amy to the rescue. LOVE this dress! I love all of these.
And hats off to you ladies for all the award posts! Its like I actually saw it-but BETTER! :)

Age spots on neck = not cute, she needs some laser treatments. Notice that the gingers tend to age better in Htown.

What fun to “+” and “-” all of these women and their outfits – thanks CB.
And, Mini Diver’s dress is beautiful but the silver table cloth undid the beauty of the dress. It should have been the same color/material as the dress.
    Go to bed ya’ll.
    Love ya CB

Amy is so beautiful, I adore her. I love it that she is a natural beauty and not tweaking her face (that we can tell, at least!). Brooklyn Decker is a knockout. Girl crushes, both!

I love Amy Adams. She’s one of my favorite underrated stars. I think I enjoy anything with her in it – even Leap Year which was universally panned – but I really liked her as a romantic lead. Amy usually looks just cute and girl next door attractive but last night she looked very stunning and sexy. The dress really flattered her curves.
