Michael Fassbender & Charlize Theron get friendly, ‘Prometheus’ trailer released

There are twenty-million new Charlize Theron photos this weekend, so you’re just going to hold on and read everything, because of some of the Charlize-related stuff is very interesting. These are photos of Charlize and Michael Fassbender at WonderCon yesterday, promoting Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, which is the Alien prequel-thing. Noomi Rapace and Idris Elba are also in the film, but they weren’t at WonderCon to promote it. Just Fassy and Charlize, who have always seemed like they really get along. I imagine that was a fun film set, with the two of them. And don’t even start with “They should get together!” Charlize is not Fassy’s type. And Charlize is too busy with her new baby – and she’s probably boning Alexander Skarsgard in a gay bar too. PS… Skarsgard was at WonderCon as well. So while it seems like Charlize is giving Fassy the look of love/lust, let’s be real. EVERY WOMAN gives him that look.

Also: the full-length Prometheus trailer was released. OMFG. THIS LOOKS SO GOOD.

I know it’s going to scare the bejesus out of me. I also know I’m going to see it on opening weekend, because of The Fassbender. He looks like he’s going to be a creepy android f–k in this. Bless him.

Mmm… Fassy. Leather. His hair has grown out a bit too. And he shaved. Sigh… Nicole Beharie is a lucky bitch.

    Whoa. That trailer is fierce.

  2. JJ says:

They have awesome chemistry! Can’t wait to see more promotion. It should be fun to see the cast together!

  3. Sumodo1 says:

That trailer will have me buying a ticket in advance.

  4. Marjalane says:

I just don’t see anything attractive about Fassbender. At all. He looks like any random dad at the soccer field.

    • backwards says:

      Me too *hides*

    • flop says:

      Same here.

    • Sandy says:

      Me five (also ducking)

    • Kara Ann says:

Eight!!! AND I’m not hiding ’cause it’s the truth ! :)

    • Bobby sue says:

Me, whatever-number-we’re-on. I find him a wee repulsive actually.

      • Marjalane says:

Awesome! I am so gratified to know that there are at least eight women (?) out there who think like I do! (although I used to look at Gosling and think, “ugh, not seeing it”. and then I did, so…..)

      • C.Lynn says:

Me eleven! (I think that’s my number)
*runs back to the Viggo threads*

    • Jenna says:

**raises hand** Same here. Not a fan of Fassy’s looks.

    • latisha b says:

please tell me what soccer field you’re going to where the dads look like Michael, i’m racing there now

    • Zenb!tch says:

Same here except he looks too OLD to be a soccer dad. He looks as old as my Viggo (the one and only older man in my life).

He’s not technically ugly just old looking.

Yes, I said it Fassy may technically be younger than I am and technically younger than Charlize but to me he is an older man and I don’t like old dudes.

    • Daphne says:

When I first saw him, he seemed moderately attractive, but nothing more to me, either. THEN, I watched him onscreen. I’ve had this conversation with many people before: if you were being honest, who are you more attracted to? Beautiful types or talented types? That’s why he does it for me. He’s amazing, and he has the X factor, the IT factor or whatever you want to call it. You can tell that he’s got more going on behind his eyes than a random telephone number for his plastic surgeon, and that’s the vibe that I get from loads of other hollywood “it” men. IMHO, true attractiveness has very little to do with looks, and far more to do with talent, confidence and brains. And honestly, he seems to have it in spades where other dudes in hollywood seem to be missing most of their brain matter. *shrug*. Just an opinion.

  5. liza says:

I wouldn’t give him a look of love/lust. I’d just think of his teeth then feel like barfing.

    • Mimi says:

Same here, yellow teeth and no lips, YUCK!

    • T.C. says:

      Liza
His looks make you want to barf. Yet you took the time to click on an article with his face on it. LOL. You must be FASSINATED by him or you wouldn’t have clicked.

      • D. says:

Are you really fascinated with every celebrity you’ve made a snarky comment about on this site? If not, why do you click on their posts?

      • normades says:

Boredom, mild interest? We don’t have to be fascinated by someone to make a comment (this comment case in point).

    • Zenb!tch says:

In liza’s defense. I agree with her, I don’t get the lust – although I liked his acting in the X-Men prequel he made a good young Sir Ian.

I clicked on it because I’m suddenly hearing a lot about Prometheus and I wanted to be sure I was “reading” the trailer right – Alien prequel.

I pay less attention to Fassy than liza does, my friends posted the trailer and I didn’t even notice he was in it.

There are other reasons to look on this story than Fassbender.

Kaiser opened herself up for it because she said “let’s be real. EVERY WOMAN gives him that look.” A lot of us don’t – normally, I’m all “different strokes” b/c I grew up loving rock musicians vs. actors. I might be less vehement about it if that line were removed. However, I don’t want anyone to think I lust after that guy. I haven’t been so “oh hell to da no” since some freshman in college accused me of liking the guys on 90210. Pompadour = automatic no. I was into Chris Cornell at the time but I digress….

  6. Hypocricy says:

    The trailer looks really promising.

I am glad for Charlize. She is the A list female star with the most spectacular and recurrent massive bombs throughout her entire career.

I really hope those projects she has now will rejuvenate her career and connect her once and for all with the bankable club.

She is too beautiful and too talented to have her projects ignored by the public and would be given more lead in great projects if she proves herself to finally be a financial incentive.

    • Alexis says:

I also think Charlize is all kinds of awesome: talented, picks great roles, beautiful, and seems like a nice person. I’m rooting for her too.

I wanted to like this trailer more than I actually do, given that I’m a big fan of both Theron and Fassbender. I’m like meh slash “will it be too scary for me?” though. I’ll probably steel myself and come support anyway — it seems like the sort of think I like (quasi-cerebral sci-fi). I like the premise (seems smart/intriguing), but the trailer was very cookie-cutter.

    • normades says:

This is gonna be a 2 for 2 slam dunk for Charlize. I wonder which pic will be bigger. I say Snow White (only because I really want to see it!!!).

  7. Nessa says:

    This movie looks insane!

  8. Claire says:

I don’t like that trailer very much. Looks like he didn’t want to reveal anything at all, so it just seems messy, but i’ll definitly go see the movie anyway.

    • Aiobhan says:

But that is why the trailer is so awesome!! A trailer is supposed to tease you not be a condensed version of the film. That is one of the reasons why that Daniel Craig film bombed back in November. The whole film was in the trailer. This Noomi/Fassy fan is so excited.

      • Zenb!tch says:

That Dragon Tattoo movie? I think that tanked because American women didn’t want to watch all that rape and nudity. Way too dark for the Christmas season.

I’ve watched part of the original on Netflix but I couldn’t really get into it, still if I want to see that series, may as well go with the original. It comes in dubbed and subtitled and the lead is cooler seeming than Rooney Mara.

  9. The Original Mia says:

Charlize & Fassy look great. Bet they’d be fun to hang with. I’m imagining lots of alcohol, swearing and sex appeal.

I’m meh on Prometheus. Not sure why I’m not more excited about it, since I loved the Alien series.

  10. GoodCapon says:

    Idris Elba! UNF.

Note to self: Watch Alien again!

  11. Franny says:

does Charlize look kind of plastic to anyone else?

  12. HadleyB says:

Charlize looks to be a girl who gets along with men easier than girls .. and love love her hair … the color looks great.

I love Michaels teeth, they are large and show all when he smiles.. I hate small teeth. lol

But yea while I loved him in Jane Eyre and Xmen I don’t think he’s “hot” but in some roles he’s more attractive then others but he’s not my type… which is ok as I am not his type either. hahaha

    • proth says:

is that supposed to be some badge of honour? I actually disagree on this – I think she seems like she does get on with women and would be a solid friend. Sure she’s could definitely be a ‘femme fatale’, but I don’t get the ‘maneater’ vibe from her at all.

  13. lucy2 says:

I’m not a big scifi movie fan, but wow, that looks good! And scary. Plus it has a great cast.

  14. shiny says:

I am going to say botox, chemical peel or something. She had something done. She also has in hair extensions. She is so flirting with MF, okay look at her. She is all over him. He is just sitting there.

  15. Theuth says:

    The hell the Fassdong.

    THAT TRAILER. OMFG MY EMOTIONS!!

(great fan of the Original Alien quadrilogy, ahem….)

  16. Turtle Dove says:

Kaiser, I thought for. sure. that you’d pull the slut shank on Charlize, but I’m glad to see that you refrained.

The trailer looks amazing. Another Fassie must see.

  17. Cinesnatch says:

While, physically, they look like they’re from the same food group, she can do much better.

  18. Ari says:

Charlize looks so happy – glad to see her smiling – wondering if having her new child is making this change :D

  19. TheOriginalVictoria says:

Her neck looks weird as f#%k.

I spent St. Patty’s day listening to a group of FassiNated chicks really trying to woo me over to their side while in Ireland trying to get my party on! And they had a nerve to be family.

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m slightly wavering. He gives nice interviews and does seem like a good guy…

Nope still not enough. But I’ll try not to be so hard on him.

  20. mia girl says:

That 4th picture of him with the microphone strategically placed is giving me ideas… ummm, did it just get warm in here?

  21. Luls says:

They are so hot together! Fassy better get on that if he knows what’s good for him!

And don’t give me that ‘not his type’ bullshit. A gorgeous, classy, intelligent woman is EVERYBODY’s type!

    • OhMyGawh says:

He’s into exotic brunettes. It doesn’t matter how beautiful Charlize is.

      • Laura says:

Black =/= exotic. Please stop with that tired old trope

      • Kate says:

Laura, he doesn’t exclusively date black women. Two of his exes are asian and he dated a dark haired german girl.

      • kris says:

Agreed Kate. He has dated two black actresses and suddenly the man dates no one else BUT black actresses. He was with his Asian girlfriend for a few years if I remember correctly and his German girlfriend had tan skin and dark eyes and hair. At first glance she looked hispanic or medeterranean. All very beautiful. I like him with Nicole though, let’s see how long it lasts :)

    • normades says:

“A gorgeous, classy, intelligent woman is EVERYBODY’s type!”

      Not Clooney’s.

  22. Meanchick says:

Is Meanchick gonna hafta smack a bitch? CT is not his type, so stop trying to hook MY man up with random blondes and what-not!!! He knows where the butter is.

  23. TheOriginalVictoria says:

    you made my day!

  24. Meanchick says:

I saw ‘Shame’ at the movies. My ONLY complaint; It wasn’t in 3D. That would have been AWESOME!! Extra meaty goodness!

  25. Camille (The original) says:

It looks so awesome, I can’t wait to see it.

  26. jess says:

I want to go on a weekend sex bender with fassbender. he just exudes that energy.

  27. FANNY says:

    i LOve him.damn just damn

  28. Marca says:

Her voice was made for voiceovers in trailers! The trailer looks awesome

  29. T.C. says:

I will like to thank all the ladies who don’t find Fassy attractive. You ladies are making that line shorter for me. I’m coming for ya Fassy baby. Going to take acting classes and hope to run into you on a movie set since you like dating co-stars.

  30. TheWayItGoes says:

Charlize looks a little too excited to be sitting next to Michael’s fine ass. It almost appears thirsty LOL…not that I blame her but sheesh girl.

  31. Samantha says:

I think my Fassbender ‘craze’ is beginning to wane nowadays lol!

  32. Sarah says:

Maybe Askars never called her back so she’s flirting with Fass cause she’s bummed. Hope springs eternal.

  33. Cerulean says:

I hope Charlize enjoyed flirting with my fiancé. I just can’t wait for the day that we can go public.

The trailer hooked me in. I’ll be going to see this.

  34. Maritza says:

These two would make an awesome couple! Totally gorgeous, and they are both so tall. After having seen him in Shameless he is also very very gifted…

  35. Ally says:

Wow, that looks amazing. Finally, a trailer that doesn’t give away the whole movie, and definitely looks worth seeing on a theatre screen, too!

I respected your Fassy love but didn’t get it. Finally saw him onscreen though (A Dangerous Method), and now I do. He’s like the Hamm in that both are rare actors in today’s Hollywood — not only handsome, but look like grown men, and are capable of displaying a full, adult range of emotions and thoughtfulness (not just boyish and smug like your diCaprios, or hammy and smug like your Clooneys).

In some sense, though, I still think Fassy nipped Toby Stephens’ career, as they are very similar physical types (and both filmed a Jane Eyre), except that crush-wise, when you end up with Toby Stephens, you get to have Maggie Smith as your mother-in-law!

Anyway, thanks for the trailer & congrats on your good taste in crushes.

  36. original sandy says:

i am still hot for him, i came to the party of fassy late,it’s gonna take some time to get over him, so… keep leaving, I’m take your left overs, more for me.

  37. Rux says:

Wow! I heard about this and I apologize I thought it was Greek Mythology re-telling. I had no idea it was part of the Aliens franchise. I am all over this. I loved ALL of the Aliens movie. Thank your for the update and trailer.

They are both pretty hot. Looks like they are just having a good time.

  38. podzol says:

OMG Shame will be your introduction to the Fass?! Am not so sure you’ll lust after him after that one (in fact, it might cut your lust for anyone for a good 24 hr…), but everyone’s acting (and Fassmember) are a sight to behold.

  39. C.Lynn says:

I just watched the trailer. WOW! This looks like a fantastic movie!

  40. Bellydancer says:

I am glad some of you bitches are jumping off the Fasstrain that leaves more meat for me!!!!

  41. Addison says:

YAY! KAISER! You know what this means don’t you? If Michael was in NY it was for business and just happened to have some pleasure as a result of it. Ha, ha, ha. He didn’t go just to spend time with Nicole. What a great start to a week! But someday he will fall in love and get married and I will for sure be wearing black on that day and for probably a month. I will be happy for him though, it will just be difficult too. LOL.

Oh yeah, and can’t wait to see this movie. I loved the Alien trilogy, this should be good. AND the added bonus, is Michael. Sigh… Will be first in line. :)
